We believe that visiting St. John will be one of the most wonderful vacations ever for you, a chance to recapture yourself.

SURFSIDE and SUNSWEPT are our studio, one and two bedroom units. Only two persons MAXIMUM in our studio.

This premium studio is in the back building on the ideal 3rd floor beside the elevator. Enjoy morning coffee on your private roofed balcony with granite counter just steps from the turquoise waters and beach. Gaze at the harbor, ferry dock, and outlaying islands and watch the comings and goings of marine activity. Ease into the day, enjoying cool breezes as the island awakens. An ideal size for two adults, this especially quiet unit is located on the third floor of waterfront building D.

Featuring shades of aqua, blue and green, our oceanfront studio offers a sitting area with sleeper sofa and large flat screen TV (60 cable channels and DVD player), Tommy Bahama king size bed and dresser, full bath, washer/dryer, and granite-topped kitchenette equipped with microwave, full refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, toaster, and blender; and your own private balcony and entrance.

In addition to tropical landscaping and well-kept grounds, Grande Bay resort offers an appealing pool and sun deck as well as hot tub and state-of-the-art fitness center.The front desk of the lobby is staffed 24-7 to answer questions. An elevator transports you and your luggage right to your door. If you book with us, our property manager will greet you at the Cruz Bay ferry dock and transport you to Grande Bay.

Later, catch an open air taxi to the world-renowned north shore beaches (Hawksnest, Trunk Bay, Cinnamon, Maho, etc.) minute away. (We provide beach chairs, towels, and a cooler.) In the evening, walk the short block to town for light fare at the Beach Bar or High Tide or enjoy a gourmet dinner at the Waterfront Bistro, Morgan's Mango, or the Lime Inn. And this is only your first day in paradise!

Beautiful view

Condo had amazing view from balcony and had great amount of coolers/beach chairs for use. Also has been recently updated it seemed. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfection!

This studio was exactly what we wanted….a clean and comfy apartment that had the essentials - king bed, coffee pot and beautiful views from the balcony. Great location as we walked to town for shopping and dinner! Cannot wait to return next year!

The most amazing time

This studio we rented was perfect. So easy to leave room and walk right down to the beach everyday. Loved how many accommodations were there for us like backpack cooler, beach chairs, and snorkels. Will definitely be coming back next year

Beautiful Villa

Sunswept is a wonderful place to stay. It is cozy, clean, close to everything in town, close to the pool and hot tub. Its just right for 2 people. The bed is amazing! The view is stunning. It's fun to watch the traffic in town, to hear the music and smell the food in the evening, and watch the boats. We will return!

Great location, beautiful view

We definitely felt like we picked the exact right place to stay on our first trip to St John. VRBO let me add a night at the lat minute and everything was what we needed. We even got to add a parking space later when we decided to rent a jeep for the last 3 days. The only suggestion we have is to have sound proofing seals on the door between the adjoing room. The neighbors we had sounded like they were in the same room at times.

Vacation

The property was in a good location and as advertised . There were plenty of supply’s for use like paper towels dish and laundry detergent and chairs for the beach the unit next to us door from kitchen you could hear the people that had small children that cried a lot but more disturbing the husband was swearing at them and we could hear it clearly in our room. I guess it just the luck of the draw who you end up with as neighbors not the owners fault.

Perfection!

Everything was absolutely perfect!! The location, the pool, the washer and dryer with detergent!! We were so grateful for the beach chairs and backpack cooler. The box fan was a welcomed surprise as I like to sleep with a fan on for white noise. Also the Bluetooth radio was nice for playing music while we got ready to go out. The unit was clean and quiet. We barely saw any neighbors and didn’t hear a peep. If you are considering this unit….BOOK IT!! We will be back!

Great condo, poor management company

We loved this condo, great location, comfortable and clean, but our vacation was not stress free, it felt like we were on working hours while on vacation. When booking this condo there was no specific information regarding parking. The owner sent a confirmation stating we would have space 25 available for our stay. When we arrived we found this to not be true and there would be no parking available, so our choice was to park at the lot where we rented our Jeep. Parking is only allowed 5pm to 8am. So now we are rushing back to be there by 5pm to get a spot to park and up and to the lot by 8am to pick the Jeep up. Luckily for us a different property manager with another condo in the complex was generous enough to find us parking at the resort most days. I won't rent from properties managed by this management company again.

Wonderful stay

We stayed in this lovely studio for 9 nights. It is clean, well decorated & well appointed with the things you need. We’ve stayed at Grand Bay many times and love that it’s walking distance to all the best shops, bars, restaurants, and the taxi stand. The photo below shows the actual view from the deck, and it’s the best for sunset.

Excellent location in Cruz Bay

This studio is great for couples. The location is excellent for walking to the majority of the very good restaurants in Cruz Bay. We rented a Jeep for four of the days we were there to explore other areas of St. John and that worked out very well. The Grande Bay complex is nice, with a good pool and jacuzzi and large enough deck area with lounge chairs and umbrellas. If you plan to cook just note that you will need to use the hot plates provided as there is no stove or range top. This was not an issue for us as we only cooked breakfast, I just want to note it for others considering the property. Having the washer/dryer was great, especially helpful for the beach towels, etc. The area that this studio was in was quiet and we had no issues during our nine days there. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay- convenient location to beach and restaurants. Comfortable bed and nice property overall. We ate breakfast in our room every morning and ate out lunches and dinner. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony. Beautiful views for sure.

Perfect Location

This was the 2nd time we stayed in Grande Bay. It’s a perfect location! This unit, however, needs an update. There were no glasses, minimal set of plates, and an old cooler. A real shower curtain would be nice as would a thorough cleaning.

This couple has 3 married children and grands who also enjoy hiking and snorkeling on St. John. He is an environmental engineer; she is a communications director. After years of exploring the Virgin Islands through bareboat sailing rentals, we chose St. John because of the spectacular scenery, the warmth of the island people, and the perfect weather.

Why they chose this property

We love the ever-changing vistas of the harbor: pelicans diving, sailboats coming and going. Hiking and snorkeling are our favorite activities. The proximity to town is another plus - we love leaving the car behind and walking to the many wonderful restaurants in Cruz Bay.

What makes this property unique

This unit has amazing and spectacular view of the harbor and outlying islands. It was completely renovated in 2014. We love the super - comfortable Lexington Tommy Bahama bed.
