Shontelle, that balance you described, quiet country right outside the door and town just a few minutes down the way, is exactly what we were after when we picked this spot. Glad the house held up its end of it. Next trip, stay out on the porch after dark once the yard lights cut off, because the stars out here are worth sitting up for. The dance halls and wineries nearby make for an easy evening when you want a little more going on. Come see us again when you need that mix. Great get away spot

The property was located in a prefect spot! Very nice and quiet with lots of wild life around. Only about a 20 minute drive into town.

The house was very clean, minimal decor that made the house feel homey. Great communication with the owners/rental group and they were quick to respond if you had a question. Would highly recommend this house if you want to be close to Fredericksburg but away from the hustle and bustle.

Fantastic home, location and property team were great to work with. A perfect place to stay so my teenage daughter and I could do some shopping in Fredericksburg while my husband and teenage boys went to our deer lease in Doss during the day.

Yes the hot tub was hot enough. We appreciated that there were both pods for the dish washer and the washing machine. The beds were comfortable, the HVAC system worked well, and the unit was easy to access.

Marty, knowing the hot tub hit the right temperature matters more than people think, and it sounds like the house took care of you from top to bottom. Comfortable beds, a working HVAC, and finding both the dishwasher pods and laundry pods already stocked are exactly the kinds of details we want guests to notice. Come back in the spring when the Hill Country wildflowers are out and the evenings on the porch are hard to beat!

Wow! This countryside home was just what we needed to relax. The wildlife we saw while sitting on the back porch was so peaceful. Deer, a fox, the cows (not wildlife but still fun to see) , and the verity of birds was amazing. The swinging chairs are an awesome addition from the last time we were there. Although it rained and was overcast, we were still able to enjoy the beauty, just not the stars this time.

10 yr anniversary

Wonderful stay at this secluded romantic home. Perfect way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We especially enjoyed waking up to our view of deer and cattle every morning. Wonderful times.

Fabulous Week

The location was wonderful even if it was a bit farther from town then it said it was. We enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings and evenings. The house was clean and welcoming. We would defiantly consider staying at this house again!

Engagement successful

We stayed in this house because my son was getting engaged in Fredericksburg this past weekend. It was a fabulous place to stay. A bit out in the middle of nowhere, but we found it easily. Very clean and tidy. I just wish we could have stayed longer. :)

Friends trip getaway

The property was amazing, we had a great time. We sat out by the fire pit and had a calm night with pit turned on. We enjoyed the hot tub of relaxation and we enjoyed that it was so quite out here. No one bothered us. We were 20 mins into town and did wine tours, shopping and attended a concert. Over all we had a great friends trip . They kept us updated with all the check in check out process, thank you . The home was beautiful and very clean.

Letisia, a calm night at the fire pit with your friends and nobody around to bother you is exactly what that house is built for. Glad the check in and check out details reached you early and that you found the place spotless. Since the quiet is what you loved, get in the hot tub after dark with the yard lights off next time, the stars out here are worth staying up for. Come back in spring and that twenty minute run into town for wine and shopping is lined with wildflowers the whole way. Bring the same crew. Great place..

Very nice place. Only issues was the house had a smell as if someone had smoked illegal drugs in it and there was a strong cigarette smell in the master bath when we got there. I’m not sure if it was the cleaning crew or the previous guest. It also wouldn’t hurt to do a good dusting and deep cleaning. overall we really enjoyed our stay and very comfortable bed in the master, which is a great plus! Deer are everywhere also, which is pretty cool to watch.
