Great Quiet Getaway

Great amount of space at the house with a huge kitchen space for cooking large meals. The location is nice and tucked away if you are looking for a great secluded location for a large group.

The home was very spacious and perfect for local family visiting to reconnect and enjoy being together. Fun, food and family- what could be better? We enjoyed all of the amenities and especially the covered back deck!

We had a great experience at this property. They even gave us a call on the day we were scheduled to arrive to make sure we knew pertinent information. The house itself was beautiful! My 4 year old loved the huge closet turned playroom with all of the toys in it - we were not expecting that. There's also a very nice library area. The outside was a nice space for us to hang out in. We had such a great time!

Perfect private location

Beautiful home sitting in a private setting perfect for a family to spend quality time together. We hit the zoo and aquarium in Columbus, serpent mounds in Peebles and miles of trails in Hocking Hills. The hot tub is perfect after a long day of hiking. We will definitely stay here again for our next trip and highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. Excellent communication and clear instructions for checking in and departure.

Beautiful Getaway

The property was absolutely beautiful on a massive lot of land. We enjoyed the space the home offered. It provided our family a great cozy and comfortable place to gather. We had a slight issue with unlocking the door with the key that took us half hour to figure out but after that the rest of the trip was very smooth. Thank you.

It smelled like mildew it hed thousands of ants all-over tne. Kitchen counter-tops sink, stove every ware in the kitchen and the mildew smell so thick and strong

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We visited the home right after your departure and discovered a dehumidifier issue caused by recent heavy rains and ants, which had impacted the basement.- A repair technician was able to replace the faulty part immediately, and the issue has since been resolved.- The kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned and treated to prevent future ant activity.- We also wanted to thank you for leaving the property in great condition and for taking the time to wash towels before leaving.Thanks for your valuable feedback.

Gorgeous property

Had a family event and wanted somewhere all 8 of us could stay together. Patty was friendly, communicative and helpful. Wrong lock box number given but promptly resolved. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Lots of bathrooms and space and amenities. Only small issue would be lack of water pressure in showers. Didn’t matter which shower and only one was in use each time but water pressure was extremely low. Kitchen was well equipped and updated. Would stay again.

The house was very spacious! We loved the outdoor area as well as the big kitchen! The upstairs bathroom had zero water coming out from the shower head so unfortunately we couldn’t use that bathroom for anything but the toilet. We actually all took turns in the shower next to the laundry room because even the shower downstairs in the master bedroom had little to no pressure. With 8 people it was a little difficult. Place was clean and cozy.

Awesome family time!!

The place was very spacious and comfortable. Athena house is well equipped with all amenities. The host Patti was very friendly and accommodating. When I mentioned to her about an issue with the upstairs shower, she came over with her son and fixed it immediately to make our stay comfortable. Exceeded our expectations. The same issue was mentioned to the management company Evolve about 3 days earlier and they did nothing about it while assuring me that it was resolved. It was quite disappointing that Evolve did not even communicate to the owner Patti. However Patti was a gem of a person. I would rate the property a five star on location, beauty and spaciousness. We were a family of 10 and had the most wonderful time at this house.

Wonderful!!

We loved our stay at this home. We had 3 different families staying in the house and there was plenty of space for us to come together, as well as spread out when someone needed some quiet time! The location is within 20-30 minutes of all the things that make the Hocking Hills area wonderful and is within minutes to McArthuer, which has a small grocery store and a delicious restaurant (Mama Renie's). Property owner is AMAZING. She was wonderful to work with and incredibly responsive. We would highly recommend!

Away from others

We had a nice and relaxing time at this property. It was well off the road, so we were able to enjoy it privacy. There were several wildlife in the area in the evening, and emitted seeing them. Rooms were spacious, and away from the others.
