Absolutely beautiful cabin with spectacular views in a wonderful neighborhood with wildlife every where. Probably my favorite place I’ve ever stayed! Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay during our hunt in Capitan. The nearby town of Ruidoso had so much to see and do, I wish we would have had longer here. Would definitely love to come back and stay longer one day.

Relaxing views

The property was great and just as described. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the patio and barbecuing and stargazing at night. We got much needed rest and relaxation.

Relax and Golf

Great time with friends. Place was perfect. We needed help with a couple of things and their response was excellent. Host was fantastic. We had an emergency before we left and the host went beyond to help us out. We want to go back asap

This house was absolutely wonderful!! The view is AMAZING! The house was very comfortable, very clean and literally had everything we needed. The property manager and owner were quick to respond and attend to any questions we had. We positively plan to return. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. 100% recommend!!

Wonderful Property

We stayed here the months of September and October, 2022. This property was all that we could have asked for and more. We initially contracted for 6 weeks and ended up staying 8 weeks!! The cabin was very tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could possibly need. The view from the deck and most of the windows is spectacular!!! We had frequent visits from the elk herd which were certainly enjoyable. Kathryn and Doug, the owners, were very responsive and pleasant to deal with. We will definitely make every effort to make a return visit. We would highly recommend this propertY!!!! Tom & Kathleen

The stay was adequate at best. The best part was convenience to the Alto Club and its golf courses. We were there to play golf after all. The big problem we encountered was that the Directtv was not available and as the renter I was not advised of this deficiency at booking. Not good for the Ryder Cup weekend and college football. Took 2 days to get functioning properly. Lots of toing and froeing with agent while we were on the golf course. Not optimal. A final word of advice, do not get to the property for the first time after dark. The road and the entrance to the driveway are tricky. Particularly so if one is coming from the Alto clubhouse.

We wish you had contacted us prior to arriving to confirm what options we had.When this was brought to my attention, we restored our DirecTV for you. This is is now available for all our future guests. With the smart TVs, anything can be watched, but this is much easier. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience. We also want all potential guests to understand we are at 7400 feet, and the driveway is steep. If you have any issues driving in the dark, we are available for assistance.

The property is located in a very scenic nook on south facing side of Alto. Unfortunately the view has significant burnt out areas. Overall I would recommend the property. Hopefully some of trees come back
