Very nice place for a couple to stay. It’s a small area but very well equipped. Nice kitchen appliances for cooking meals that is an open floor plan to the family room which has a big tv. Only reason why I gave a 4 for family is due to the size but if you had a child with a pac n play it would work too. Owner responded immediately to a question I had after check in. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed 2 nights. Taylor and Yuko were very responsive to any questions we had. The location was great for visiting our friends. The casita was quiet and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for a couple visiting Tucson as the rates were very affordable.
We cant say enough about this little gem of a casita. Its so quiet, peaceful, and private. Its just the right size for 2 people. The back yard was perfect for a BBQ at home. It is walking distance from a CVS and McDonalds and just far enough from main roads that you cant hear the traffic.
We loved it

Sunny February Week at the Casita
Fleeing the Seattle-area rain and snow, my wife and I rented Taylor and Yuko's Casita for a week, and really enjoyed our stay.... location is great, in a quiet but centrally located neighborhood, within walking distance of several good restaurants, and close to stores. A great home base for explorations of all Tucson has to offer. Casita is cozy, recently remodeled, and has all the amenities you need: full kitchen, comfortable bed, nice TV and Wi-Fi. We enjoyed morning coffee out on the sunny patio in the fully fenced private back yard. Owners gave us privacy but made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great Experience!!!
My husband and I were honored to be the FIRST guests in La Casita!! Taylor and Yuko were the kindest, most generous and attentive hosts!!! La Casita is cozy but worked very well for the two of us!!! The location is fantastic, practically in the heart of Tucson, very easy to get around town!! Taylor and Yuko have thought of it all but if you have a request, they are ON it!! Book it!! You won't be disappointed!!

Perfectly Cute & Small
The Casita is cute, small, but perfectly fine for 2 people. We stayed 1 week. It is 2 blocks from the Speedway strip. Lots of thrift stores and places to eat.
Taylor is great. He is close and happy to get anything you might need. The kitchen has dishes, pots, pans, and spices, cooking is easy. The fenced backyard is quiet and private.
We would have stayed another week, but it was already booked. And we would stay again, if we are ever back in Tucson, and not even bother to look anywhere else.
I stayed here for a few days while I took short courses at the law school. Peter accommodated a special request from me to connect a DVD player, which helped me unwind in the evenings after spending 8am to 6pm doing some heavy thinking and discussion in class on concepts and frameworks. It was great to come home, and pop in a DVD of my sci-fi TV series and be unbothered by Netflix decision making. Closeness to Whole Foods and Bookman’s is great, and it was a quiet neighborhood. I will always look for this place when I need to be back in Shchuk:son for trainings from the university. The city’s name comes from an O’odham word describing mountains that are black/shchuk at their base.
The Good: convenient location, square footage adequate for one or two people, well-equipped kitchen, nicely decorated, fenced backyard that worked well for dogs, access to washer/dryer. The Bad: Had no TV for entire two week stay. I messaged owner on Day 2 and he appeared within an hour with new TV. I told him I didn't think the actual TV was the problem and explained the messages I was getting on the screen. He said he had gotten previous complaints about the TV and wanted to replace it. Still didn't work. I messaged second time. Then he put me on a call with Direct TV and I was instructed to reset the receiver. For a couple of hours, I was able to get live programs but no streaming. Next day it wasn't working again. I reset the receiver two more times to no avail. I told the owner directly that, based on messages the TV was giving me, the problem was the Direct TV equipment. He said he would be over the next day but never came back. I let him know as I was leaving that the TV still didn't work. He messaged back that I just didn't know how to work it! I'm pretty tech savvy. In addition to no TV, I found it difficult to sit outside on the patio in the mornings because of the very strong stench of marijuana being smoked somewhere close by (smelled like skunk). Bottom line - I could not use two of the amenities I paid for.
Place was great for our little weekend getaway. Had our family over for a couple visits/dinners and it worked great. Bed was a bit too soft and sort of sank in. The air vent in the ceiling did fall in the middle of the night during our stay. They came right over and repaired it the next morning.owners were very responsive.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Nice and Cozy but
It was clean and basically in good working order. Two items need addressing. The bed is most certainly not a queen size bed. My wife and I were uncomfortable with such a small bed. Also, directions for the television operation were nowhere to be found.
The casita was just right for the two of us. We appreciated the backyard patio and enjoyed a peaceful breakfast out there. Taylor was great when we had a TV issue the last night of our stay. He came right over as soon as we called him. The only negative was the big step into the shower.
I was visiting Tucson for a national dog event and brought my two small dogs with me. The house was perfect for us. I liked the back yard for early and late potty breaks in the dark.
We visited Tucson to celebrate my granddaughter's 21st birthday and stayed at the Casita.
We had received information that the Casita had a queen size bed which turned out to be a full size bed, only about 80% as big as a queen. The full size mattress was also extremely soft and we tended to roll from the sides to the center which made sleeping the first night rather uncomfortable.
The bed being too small for us, we decided to use the sofa bed for one of us, only to find out there were no linens available as advertised. We had to request them and when they finally came, they were in the original plastic wrapping which gave a distinctly unpleasant odor to them, so we had to wash them at my granddaughter's apartment before using them for the third night.
We also received information that a washer and dryer were available; they weren’t.
The best thing about the stay was the rear patio. We wound up getting takeout from our granddaughter's favorite restaurants and having leisurely quiet dinners on the patio every night which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The Casita was very clean and convenient to the University area. We had no need to cook, but the kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation.
We would certainly consider returning if we ever visit Tucson again.
We came to visit Saguaro National Park and were very impressed with how the casita was very much in the city but still easy to get to the park. We were only five minutes away from a Walmart and restaurants too. We didn’t get to sit outside in the back due to pouring rain, but everything inside was just as we had hoped!
We came for UofA Homecoming. This central location allowed us to easily visit family on the E side, W side, join others for dinner in the NE, and be close to the University activities. The property far exceeded expectations while traveling with pets.
