About this property

This 6 large studios and a 2 bedroom house sits at the end of the road in the heart of Sedona on historic Newcastle Island right next to Oak Creek. This cute 6-unit property is surrounded by forest at the mouth of Oak Creek Canyon. With some of the best hiking in the country and a location that is laid back and relaxing, you won’t find anything in Sedona on the creek quite like it. Perfectly located, you can walk to Tlaquepaque while staying out of the hustle and bustle.

Our property is secluded yet close to downtown Sedona. You can sit and relax Creekside while listening to the gentle waters and taking in a great book or a calming nap. We have 3 community Hot Tubs all right next to Oak Creek. After a day of hiking, you can enjoy the stars and dark skies of Sedona while soaking in a hot tub Creekside. We also have a community outdoor covered dining area with a gas grill for guests to enjoy.

Please be aware we are not suitable for children and have a strict occupancy limit of two people per studio or 4 people in the house. Guests have access to their units and our 2 plus acres of wooded land to walk, enjoy and relax.

Our neighborhood is in the heart of Sedona, just downstream from the intersection of 89A and Hwy 179. The Hillside shopping and dining complex is across Oak Creek, within walking distance. Uptown Los Abrigados Resort and world famous Tlaquepaque is a few blocks around the corner; a short distance upstream. The neighborhood has hiking, biking and other creek access areas nearby too. We have private trails right here on our property!! If you head away from the cabins, parallel to the creek...past the other cabins and private property signs, you will enter the other half of our property. The trail will lead you to easier creek access, chairs, and a hammock.

Hiking getaway

Property was unique and quaint.Very clean property. Beds comfortable. Jacuzzis perfect after long hiking days. Loved it!!

Relaxing as expected- Retreat 55

I'll start by saying this is now one of my favorite locations to stay. It's peaceful and beautiful and there is really nothing like waking up to the sounds of birds chirping. For the most part, it wasn't very busy in the area until Saturday evening. We did have a couple of things to point out- 1. The listing did not let me book with a dog, it kept erroring out so I booked without it and they then informed me that there's a $50 pet fee with a separate tax fee of $6.95 to be charged as two different transactions. 2. After charging the amount, they informed me that their, "Pet policy is that dogs need to stay on leash outside of the unit and leave with you each time you leave the room." I informed them that our dog is crate trained for these very purposes, to adapt to new environments. When asked to confirm if that still applies their response was "It does as this is a new environment and most dogs get scared by themselves in new environments." Every environment is basically new for a dog as you're training them and that's the point but also makes no sense because it is very restricting if you're planning to leave to explore, get coffee, get dinner, even go to the creek using their "trail", and more. 3. The unit was large and spacious but w/ low lighting. The hot tub is listed as "private" but there are many openings for people to access it or view it. 4. Lastly, get clarity on the trail access- marked by a "private property" sign not "no trespassing" (hammock wasn't up).

Beautiful property

This is an amazing property on Oak Creek. It has a resort feel to it and we absolutely loved it. The house was clean and inviting. The hot tubs are an added bonus

Newcastle Island 55

Good location, quiet, rustic, "hippie vibe" that suited my group. A few things in need of cosmetic repair: Living room lighting is insufficient, lamps confined to perimeter. Wall outlet plates missing, silverware drawer not secure and almost fell when pulled open (we moved the heavy stuff to a different drawer) , mysterious switches that didn't turn on anything. ONE roll of TP? Also, paint that electrical guy wire in the parking area some hot color that warns when backing out. But we are seasoned travelers who can roll with quirky charm, and the constant murmur of the creek was soothing.
