Nice house, convenient location

We have stayed here twice and the first time it was a new listing. It is a nice home in a good central location and stocked fairly well. It's clean, but it has a dog smell mainly upstairs. Probably the carpet from the previous owners. The first time we stayed we didn't mind too much that the furniture(mostly the seating: couches, accent chairs) were very outdated and that the living room only had a couch. No coffee table, end tables, no chairs. We figured they will probably be adding furniture in the living room and also updating the 1970's - 1980's existing chairs etc. Nope, still same furniture and only the same outdated couch in the living room. The two downstairs bedrooms seemed updated with comfortable beds. The upstairs bedroom bed is very hard and uncomfortable so we just used the downstairs bedrooms. I think with a little effort to update the furniture and add seating and tables in the living room this would be a much better rental.

Great Place

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, quiet, well stocked with everything, and only 1 1/2 from Glacier NP. Beautiful yard. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Nice but

This is a beautiful home with everything you need to have a great stay. I do have to comment, however, on what they don't mention during booking. That is departure rules. You will be responsible for loading your dishes in the dishwasher ( I have no problem with that) AND you are required to empty the dishwasher and put away the dishes. The cycle is about 60 minutes long. Second you are to strip the beds and start the laundry, third you must take your garbage with you when you leave, and dump it at designated places depending on the day, regardless of the route by which you plan to leave. The designated areas are 17 miles north of the property. We are heading south. Forcing us to inconvenience ourselves and perhaps other people in search for dump facilities. As a former airbnb host/owner myself, I was shocked to see this. I wouldn't expect my guests to stay through a dishwasher cycle on their day of departure, in addition to laundry and garbage removal. Why the cleaning fee, service fee, and insurance protection fee? Why am I paying a cleaning fee if I'm doing the cleaning? Additionally if you don't follow the aforementioned tasks you will be charged an additional cleaning fee. Sorry to say, as lovely as this home is, and it is clean and beautiful, find a place where you are truly on vacation. Dishes, laundry and garbage aren't on the itinerary. One other note, the temps reached 100 degrees in July and this home has no A/C and no fans. The upstairs bedroom was very warm and uncomfortable.
