About this property

This is a beautifully appointed, large family home, located across the road from the beach. The house features 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms & comfortably sleeps 12 people - easily large enough for several families to share, along with plenty of parking space and privacy. This home is perfect for your next family holiday, with everything you need: open plan living, fully equipped kitchen, all linen and towels are provided, a BBQ & wrap around deck with views of both the ocean and rural lifestyle.
Pukehina is the BOP's new hot spot, with white sand beaches & great fishing, or just relax with a book on the deck listening to the ocean. The perfect location & only a short drive from Tauranga, The Mount & Whakatane.

We also welcome short term bookings (2-week minimum stay) for $50 per person per night (minimum 4 people) during the months of March to November. Please inquire if you're interested.

Fantastic Family holiday

Super location in middle of village and close to beach access. Spacious well-equipped home with everything you need. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, carparks. Decks both sides to spread out on.

Family Trip

House is very suitable for small families, there is a baby gate on the front deck and a large trampoline. Lots of space inside and separate bathrooms/toilets. House is partly in mid-renovation so some things arent 100% but wasnt bad at all.

Short but Comfy

Great location. We were literally only staying overnight as we were attending a wedding. Loads of room, and most importantly more than 1 bathroom. This one had 3 along with plenty of bedrooms. It's an older style property but you can see that money is going back into the property with the renovations that have been done to date. Thanks!

Kia ora, I’m Keita! My hubbys name is Richie and together we have 3 kids - all 5 years old and under. We also have a fur baby, Kiwi, who is a very lazy but extremely friendly chocolate Labrador.

Pukehina is our favourite place to be. We love that the house is located just across the road to the beach access way. We love that our dog, Kiwi, can be with us at all times of the year on the beach - off-lead. We love that we can light bonfires and roast marshmallows on the beach (there are no fire or alcohol-ban restrictions). My hubby is also a keen fisherman and diver - he loves setting the kontiki, surf-casting, being on the boat, diving for crays, and gathering pipi and oysters in the estuary. We also love that our house is big enough to have all the whānau (family) stay and enjoy our slice of paradise.

It really is your typical Kiwi holiday at the beach! Get in contact if you’re wanting to book - we encourage you to bring your pets, and we’re flexible if you want to bring your camper, or pitch tents for extra people. Happy to accommodate as best we can!

Why they chose this property

This home is situated in the perfect location directly across the road from the beach, with beach access less than 50m away (with quad bike access way). If you're into fishing or seafood - The boat ramp is only a 2 minute drive down the road, or bring your surf caster or kontiki and set these straight off the beach. The estuary is known as a place to gather pipi, oysters, and mussels off the rocks. Hubby has even spared a King fish in here too!

After a day at the beach, use the outdoor heated shower to wash off the salt and sand, and then fillet your fish on the filleting station!

The house provides both beach and rural views, and a BBQ to finish off the day. There is also a large trampoline to entertain the kids and of course strong wifi for the teens, along with Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime and Youtube on the Smart TV.

There is also plenty of parking for the boat, camper, or even room to pitch tents for extra guests.

What makes this property unique

Our holiday home is pet friendly and the beach allows dogs all year round. Bonfires are permitted on the beach too and there is no alcohol-ban in Pukehina. It is just a 2-minute drive to the Pukehina local store for takeaways and essentials, and the boat ramp is also only a 2-minute drive away. Not to mention cycling tracks, and the Te Puke Golf Course is just a 10 minute drive. Rotorua, Mt Maunganui, Tauranga are all within 30 mins.
