Would not recommend

I recently booked a stay at this property and my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed that the carpet and pillowcases were dirty. We were promised a second mattress which was not set up, turning out to be a mat on the floor with only a sheet on it. Once the mat was put out, it was difficult to move around the room and the door wouldn’t close. We had to request basic necessities like pillows, sheets, and towels. In addition, the lack of dresser space, shelves, and room for suitcases made it challenging to unpack and settle in comfortably. The room we were provided with was located in a basement suite that was not separate from the main house, and we had to share a bathroom with strangers who were in the adjacent bedroom. The thin walls made it hard to escape the noise from the neighboring room and the host family upstairs. Despite voicing our concerns to the host the next morning, we encountered further issues. While the host reluctantly agreed to refund the remaining three nights of our stay, we later discovered that we had only been refunded for two nights, citing a "two-night minimum policy." Upon reaching out to address this discrepancy, the host displayed a dismissive attitude, stating that she was not obligated to refund us at all, leaving us without the promised refund for the third night. Overall, based on the cleanliness issues, lack of amenities, noise disturbances, and unprofessional handling of the refund, I would not recommend this property.

We enjoy the stay

The apartment is on a quiet street and is convenience to everywhere. Walking distance to the old town and good restaurants. We can see the North Light even on the deck. The host is very friendly and they keep the house clean and tidy.

it is a good place for family, 2 rooms with large sitting area, including a large TV, laundry is also inside, nobody came to use it during our stay. I like the balcony outside living / kitchen area, you can see old town and float plane, on clear nights, probably northern lights too. lots of trails around, I walked and climbed lots of mountains, lake loop trails, museum and several times to old town and shopping area.
