Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with the best mountain views! A short drive from Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure, this home offers the space to spread out. With 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, 7 beds and 2 kitchens, you can bring the whole family, including your furry friends. Spend your days on the Lake and then come home to grill out with the family and watch the sunset over the beautiful NC mountains!



The Space:

This beautiful log cabin home is split between the top two floors and a separate living space in the ground floor. The top two floors consist of a grand two-story living room with floor to ceiling views of the North Carolina mountains, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a gorgeous loft area, a fully-furnished kitchen area and laundry for guest use (bring your own laundry supplies).



The bottom floor is another separate living area with a kitchenette, bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The home features wrap around decks for uninterrupted mountain views. Be sure to stop by one of the local grocery stores and bring home some steaks to grill on the decks while you sip a local brew or bottle of Biltmore red wine.



Lake Lure offers plenty to do for all ages. Be sure to stop by Chimney Rock State Park for a hike (or ride) up the mountain. Also, the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is a must-see in any season. From water sports and hiking trails to shopping and dining options, Lake Lure is a great place to visit!

Mountain/Lake house

This house has a beautiful view from the deck and is a 5 minute drive to the lake. Perfect location. The owner was great and had easy instructions for checking out. I would highly recommend this house.

Lake Lure stay

Overall impression was good. Some concerns that I think that would make for a more pleasant stay are:1) Have clearly written instructions on how to operate some of the equipment in the house i.e., the T.V. We had a hard time figuring out the T.V. because we were not familiar with how to operate it in order to get local channels.2) Same problem with the heating/cooling appliances. Need instructions.3) Had to disconnect kitchen smoke detector as it kept going off. Weak battery and no replacements available.4) Jon was helpful. I hated to have to call him so much, but he was courteous when I called with my concerns.5) Correspondence with check in at main gate and house was not communicated well enough for me to understand. Jon talked us in, thankfully!
