We had a lovely stay at this peaceful home. The screen porch is perfect. We enjoyed many meals there and a fire around the solo stove on our last night. At the owner's suggestion, we went swimming both at Lake Mansfield which had a nice public beach and easy parking access, and a more secluded beautiful swimming hole on the Green River which we walked a mile down a pleasant path into the woods to find. The house was the perfect distance from Great Barrington where we enjoyed restaurants and art festivals. It was a wonderful place to stay!
My partner and I had a lovely stay for our visit to the Berkshires. The house was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the area. The location is ideal with plenty of shops near by for essentials but still felt secluded. We hope to come back soon!
We had a great time at this little gem of a house. It was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The screened-in porch with comfortable seating and a view of a quiet lake was a 10 out of 10.
We had a great stay for our first time in the Berkshires - I will say both my husband and I were not fans of the couch (looked comfortable in pics, but was not at all). The listing said window units for AC (was warm during the day & cooler at night) but they were not installed so sleeping was a bit warm. We did find a fan in the one closet and gave that to our kids to sleep with. Otherwise, we had a great time in the area which was quaint & the pond view was great. Definitely a relaxing trip which was much needed after a long summer!
Had a wonderful time hiking in the Berkshires. This was the perfect location. The host was so gracious, and the house was comfortable and had a beautiful view.
We also enjoyed a great dinner from Naji’s in Great Barrington.
We were looking for a quiet place to R&R. This spacious, well-equipped house right on the serene pond was ideal. It also affords a lot of space - inside and out - for a larger group who enjoys more activities. It's close to Great Barrington, which we found delightful for shopping and eating. The entire experience was a delight.
Loved the water views through large windows in multiple rooms. Quiet location. Great fireplace. Comfortable beds. Close to Great Barrington and other interesting towns. Host was very communicative.
Kimberly was a great host. Very attentive. The house is in a great location on a fantastic property, right on the lakefront. Wonderful views, cozy fireplaces great kitchen, and acess to a 2-car garage.
We had a wonderful stay in Sheffield. Close to family in ASHLEY Falls. The location is beautiful near a pond. We enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the pond! The kitchen was well stocked, very clean, comfortable beds, and the bedroom portable ACs were wonderful! Communication with Kimberly was great from booking to during our stay. Thank you, Kimberly for a great stay!!
This property was just perfect for a romantic long weekend. The setting is picturesque and lakefront, the property is private and quiet, and the accommodations are super comfortable, including a cozy, supportive bed in the master bedroom. Super lovely screened in porch, too. The owner was beyond attentive and responsive, and also thoughtful with extra touches such as leaving us a few surprise gifts in the kitchen. We will most definitely return to this property!!

A comfortable house with a gorgeous view
We were visiting friends in the area so didn’t spend too much time in the house other than mornings and evenings It was very peaceful and the view of the pond was just beautiful especially with the fall foliage. The large front yard was great for our active kids and there were things for them to play with as well. The rooms were comfortable and adequately furnished. It got quite chilly at night and we were able to heat the home comfortably. We loved being there and hope to return sometime in the future.
We stayed at this wonderful house for family weekend at Berkshire School. The house sits on a pond in a beautiful location with large windows and patio doors so you can enjoy the view from many of the rooms. There is a large screened in porch with various seating options. The pond offers endless entertainment from geese, ducks, bald eagles and more! We enjoyed sitting out by the fire and listening to nature. It is a wonderful house and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful get away! Kim is excellent and very responsive! We will definitely be back!

lovely
A one-level house with only the birds for noise. The setting is lovely. The house was clean and our question about lightbulbs was answered with a delivery of lightbulbs before we could get to the store and pick some up.
The owner is easy to communicate with and wanted us to be very happy -- which we were.
Overall it was a nice place. My first try with VRBO so I learned a lot. I thought I had picked a place that would be accessible for my husband with mobility handicaps but the house proved challenging with narrow door ways and no grab rails for him. Also, couldn't use fireplace or access the pond (advertised as waterfront). TV was firestick and I couldn't use it. Bummer for news and weather.

Hi Cynthia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on your recent stay. Your feedback is important to us, and we reached out to the homeowner, who wished to provide some clarifications:- Our listing does not advertise the home as handicapped accessible, and we take care to accurately portray it in our listing photos. We aim to ensure that our guests can determine if our home suits their needs before they book their reservation. - The fireplace is fully functional, and many guests have enjoyed it. We encourage guests to reach out if they have any questions about its operation. - The house is waterfront, and it offers beautiful pond views from the main bedroom, the living room, and the dining room. - The TV in the home is a smart TV and is logged into our Netflix and Amazon accounts. Additionally, the WiFi connection in the house is strong, allowing guests to use other electronic devices for weather and news reports.Thank you for sharing your review with us.
The house is in a secluded yet private location and is very quiet. The kitchen was updated and there were plenty of amenities for cooking although we did not use the stove or grill. Overall though the house is very antiquated and the bedrooms most definitely need some updating with love and attention. The curtains in the master are old, yellowing and could be a potential fire hazard as they fall and hang over the floor heating units. The screened in porch is a nice relaxing place for enjoying a cup of coffee. The house is pretty close to the center of Sheffield and a short drive to Great Barrington or Egremont. If your just looking for a place to sleep it’s perfect.

Amazing views, plenty of sunlight, very close to Great Barrington
We stayed here 3 nights with our two little kids for a long weekend skiing at Butternut Ski Area. It's a 15-20 mins drive so pretty close and convenient. Great Barrignton downtown is even closer and that worked great for us. Kimberly (the host) was absolutely amazing. I asked for suggestions for places to eat etc and she was super helpful and nice. The views from the house are exceptional. We stayed there in February and the lake/pond was frozen and snowy, but that didn't take away from the gorgeous views especially from the dinning room. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed. Having a fireplace we could use was wonderful! We did enjoy so much cozying up on the couch with the kids and watching tv. I'm only dropping one star as the master bedroom mattress was not comfortable, and both me and my husband didn't get a great sleep during our stay. Also the master bedroom has a very strong smell of "old house" and could use some love for sure. The curtains definitely take away from the beauty of the huge glass windows. Yes, definitely will need a way to cover up those windows at night, but please find a more "modern" way to do it :) The bathrooms are clean and nice.I'd definitely recommend this place 100%. I think we might be back in summer to experience the great lake views :)
We were thrilled to be the first to rent this property! Kimberly was extremely easy to reach via text and very helpful in answering our questions. The house is spacious, a little too large, perhaps, for just the two of us but we did enjoy having all that space nevertheless. The area is beautiful and just a few minutes down the road from Great Barrington which has some terrific restaurants. Almost just across the street is the Thom Reed UFO park and it's a short drive to a beautiful waterfall, Bish Bash Falls, which has a fairly easy hike to get to. A few other waterfalls are in the area, too; we just didn't have enough time.
Being the first guests here, Kimberly encouraged us to write down our thoughts and suggestions. I hope that what we wrote did not sound too negative... we really did have a great time; there are just some basic things needing to be addressed which will help future guests' stays to be even more enjoyable than ours.
