The Space:
Rural Delight is located in Ohaupo- Waikato Region, just 19 minutes from Hamilton and an hour's drive from Auckland. Nearby Waitomo Caves Tours, Bridal Veil Falls, Blueberry Country, and Hamilton Gardens are just a few attractions in the area.

A beautiful 155-square-foot home situated in one of the best tiny house rentals in New Zealand with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for you to use. It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save the environment.

We offer drinkable filtered water in a 1.5-liter kettle and provide one-liter bottled water in the fridge for your convenience. Please note that tap water is suitable for use in washing dishes and for showering purposes only.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas. If you are interested, we also have rental bikes available for guest use. Please book directly with the host prior to your arrival.

Rural Delight sits in a small town in the Waikato Region, just 19 minutes from Hamilton and an hour away from Auckland. It's one of the best tiny house rentals in Waikato, where you can explore farmlands, natural landscapes, and attractions.

- 54 mins drive for a shaded cave walk exploring Arunui Cave (no entry fee required)
- 50 mins drive for Blue Spring Putaruru (no entry fee required): An easy 4.7 km one-way trail but will keep your hours for the stunning photo shots

- Te Awamutu Rose Gardens is a popular tourist attraction with over 2500 rose bushes of over 50 different varieties that bloom from November to May.
- National Wetland Centre is a wildlife sanctuary and research facility surrounded by wetland gardens and heritage trails designed to encourage children to learn about nature.

Getting Around:
By car:

- 10-15 min drive to Hamilton
- 14-17 min drive to Te Awamutu and Cambridge

By public transport:

- 5 min drive from Hamilton Airport or 1 hr and half drive from Auckland. Alternatively, public bus is available from Auckland Airport to Hamilton city about 1 hr 40 mins and 15-20 min drive to our property or tiny house.

Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good
- No smoking inside, except in designated areas
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Dropping cigarette butts on dry grass can start a bushfire. Please put out your cigarettes properly
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
