5 BdR House Orchid Beach Fraser Island - sleeps 16 - bring the boats! Full Wifi

"I'd Rather Be Fishing" is our Motto.

Fisherman's Paradise - The stand out feature of this property is the large secluded block of land, very flat and perfect for parking boats and trailers, and plenty of room for all the vehicles. Now with new state of the art fish cleaning area.

This 5 bedroom house has just undergone renovations, with new owners - and is now available for the first time to the holiday rental market.

Please remember.... as owners, we don't live full time on the island.... and there is no laundry service on the island. For this reason you are required to bring your own sheets, pillowcase, sleeping bag or doona, as well as bath towels and beach towels.

NOTE: bookings are only accepted from Saturday - Saturday (with a 3 night minimum…. Please message us prior to booking, if you want something different)

This well-appointed house caters for all your holiday needs. "Id Rather Be Fishing" comes with a fully equipped kitchen, 5 spacious bedrooms - Master bedroom has an ensuite (shower and toilet).

Main bathroom with full size bath and separate shower.

Separate second toilet.

Laundry with full size automatic washing machine.
Plenty of freezer space in laundry for bait.

Plenty of fridge and freezer space in the kitchen for all your groceries.

Each bedroom has brand new Long Single Ensembles. 4 bedrooms have 3 beds, and one bedroom has 2 beds - with a fold out sofa in the lounge area for extra guests.

Two dining areas with seating for 16, and a very spacious lounge room with large L shaped lounge.

A large BBQ is provided in the fully covered entertainment area along with an outside kitchen - so you can fully entertain outside. We have even mounted a TV outside so you can catch up on your sport of choice.

For those who enjoy the feeling of camping we have a fire pit to sit around on those cooler nights. (Must bring your own wood)

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was located in an excellent spot and suited all our needs! The owners were extremely accommodating and allowed us to stay an extra night at short notice due to being unable to get off the island due to the cyclone. The property is spacious and also on flat land. Plenty of room for the kids to play . Minor problems were solved quickly by owners and property manager . There are a few things in the house that need to be rectified but I have contacted the owner privately . All in all I would stay here again

Property was everything you needed, spacious and clean. Well equipped.

Property was booked at the last minute, communication with property manager was very quick as we had a special request and this was not a problem. House a good place for a large group, beds very comfortable. All king single beds we pushed a couple together and king sheets fitted with no problems. Location was great being further north away from the crowds and close to Cape Sandy a bonus. Would recommend this property, photos don’t do it justice.

Another Great Break On Fraser

The property was expected per listing, decent size, clean, overall good and plenty of room and sleeps 16. The oven was good enough but needs to get the ignition fixed. BBQ was used a lot but could do with some new flame guards fitted.

The property had plenty of space, The outside furniture could do with replacing, satellite tv did not work I contacted owner and it never got fixed. The pantry can do with an upgrade.

Hi Marco, Thanks for your review. Once again - apologies for the TV. As you can imagine, being so remote - we cannot receive normal mainland free- to - air channels. On Fraser we rely on the VAST Satellite TV system... which has proven to be very unreliable and temperamental. Unfortunately, we also don't have immediate access to a television tech from the mainland to simply pop out and make repairs. A service call was logged, but as you were only there for 3 nights, he attended after you checked out. We have been aware of the lack of consistency with VAST, which is out of our control.... so we provided a BlueRay/ DVD player with a huge library of movies on DVD to watch...... which we think is better than nothing at all. We will be installing full Satellite Internet with wifi access for guests in the next couple of weeks, which will eliminate all issues from now on.

Good clean house with plenty of flat parking space for multiple boats and 4WDs. Booked at late notice due to another place falling through. Easy selfcheck in with a lock box. Can do U turn with boat on in the back yard no worries or there's another access track out the back along the dingo fence, Hose reels front and back of house for flushing outboard, washing down equipment, Large covered outdoor entertaining space with a barby, 2 deep freezers, Pretty well has everything you need for a good fishing trip. Fish cleaning table not there yet but getting put in soon. 13 in our group and had plenty of room.

We are a fishing family from South of Brisbane..... and have been going to Fraser Island, yearly, for over 35 years. We have done the camping on the beach in swags, then tents, then vans... then moved on to renting holiday properties.... until a property finally became available to purchase. We have now made this house available to other keen holiday makers, so you can enjoy all that Fraser Island has to offer - and be comfortable while you do it.

Orchid Beach is about as Perfect as it gets. Waddy Point is the perfect place to launch boats, or just fish from the beach.

"Id Rather Be Fishing" is a full bricks and mortar home. You will feel like you are at home. It's the perfect place to safely bring your boats or jet-ski's and know they will be safe. The block is flat, and HUGE, so parking and storing watercraft and vehicles is no problem.
