Peaceful respite

We enjoyed a lovely week in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood so close to the fun historic district of Wendell. The house was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed for our week away from home.

The kitchen was fully equipped all the cookware was not cleaned and was dirty beyond use. The coffee maker smelled because it still had water left in it. We were unable to utilize the kitchen.

Great Sisters getaway

We had a great time hanging out, playing cards & exploring the small town. The house was decent; showed some wear & tear, but was comfortable.

Wedding Weekend

We were in town for a wedding. We were very happy with the house. It’s well taken care of and is comfortable with plenty of space to hang out watching TV or playing games. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Sun Shine!!

This was an amazing home. Everything that was described in the listing was accurate, The pictures really don't do it any justice compared to when you see it in person. Very quiet and easy to access. I also appreciate how quickly the host responded. 10/10 will book again!!

Beautiful house! Very, very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet location. Close to stores and food delivery. I've stayed in 3 other houses in the area this past year and truly loved this one! Not only is it a great house, it's close to my sister as I was there for my dad's funeral. Easy check in and check out. Can't wait to travel back down from NY and stay in the house again.. Food delivery options were great. I'd absolutely recommend this house and look forward to staying there the next time I'm in town.

Charming house in Wendell, NC!

We enjoyed our stay in this charming house located in a quiet neighborhood in a cul de sac.The house didn't disappoint because it was clean, modern, and had all the listed amenities. My family needed a house that was close to Raleigh and surrounding suburbs. An added bonus was it was pet friendly and my dog appreciated the fenced yard. Our host, Mrs James, was available to answer any questions. I highly recommend this home and would come here again.

Pretty home in a very nice neighborhood. The house was clean, for the most part, but some maintenance is needed (doors falling in laundry closet, couch needs cleaning). Coffee, sugar, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash all provided. Kitchen was spacious and provided enough cookware. No laundry supplies available, but w/d were available and clean. I would just suggest maybe a coffee table or end table in the living room (we had no place to set stuff down) and hand towels in the bathrooms. We're personally not fans of having to use paper towels in lieu of actual hand towels.

A few items that need improved

Nice house, comfortable beds, nice living space. It was nice to have a fenced in back yard. A little disappointing on the small things: The master bath shower was never more than luke-warm at best. I like hot showers. The kitchen is lacking some necessities like a cutting board, steak knives, a decent cutting knife, utensils that rusty, extra kitchen towels, etc. The fish tank was a bit disturbing. The tank looked like it needed cleaned, there was a layer of scum on the top, and it looks like the air hose wasn't working.

Response from VrboOwner on 14 July 2025
From the Owner: "I just came across your review and was surprised by some of the comments, as they don’t seem to reflect the efforts made during your stay.I personally came to the house and adjusted the hot water to meet your preference, and I also responded to your request regarding missing items; those were already in the drawers and dishwasher, which I showed you at the time. I made two separate visits and addressed every concern you raised, and throughout your stay, you expressed that you were pleased with how things were handled. That’s why I was disappointed to see a negative review that included comments that don’t accurately reflect the experience we worked hard to provide. I always welcome honest feedback and would have appreciated the opportunity to resolve any remaining concerns directly.Wishing you all the best."
