Amazing
The house was amazing. The area is very quiet. You can find trails very close to the house. The house was very clean. Very well stocked. The kids enjoyed the area and the house very much. We plan on making a trip back and booking the house again. I would recommend it to friends and family.
The home was fully stocked! The kitchen had everything needed for cooking/eating. Plenty of sheets and towels. Was a short drive to the slopes, and grocery store. Would love to come back!
The property is located away from the busier area's by being located higher up the side of the mountain. Less traffic and fewer other houses. Beautiful views of the valley.
We loved this house. It had everything we could possibly need from pantry staples to pots and pans and linens. The view was breathtaking. We could see the fireworks on Eagle Nest Lake and the drone show in Angel Fire. The location was perfect - far enough out of the village that it was quiet, but close enough to be convenient to get groceries or go out to eat. We found the hiking trails right down the road. We saw deer and turkey and heard coyotes at night. We fed the hummingbirds and enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching them. The hot tub was an extra bonus. This was our first time to visit Angel Fire and we are so happy we discovered this house and Angel Fire. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.
The host was awesome. The space was clean and any issues we faced were immediately addressed by the host. We also asked for recommendations and the host was quick to reply and very friendly. We had 5 adults and 7 children and the kids enjoyed together time downstairs allowing the adults time upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. We had an excellent time.
The area all around this property is amazing. Great hiking and plenty of nature to take in. House was big enough for 5 to spread out and have space. Main drawbacks for us were the exterior cameras recording us coming and going, and we did not feel comfortable using the hot tub due to a camera focused on it. Also, having to haul most of your trash away was a but inconvenient. Host did not respond to 2 different attempts to contact to see if we could check in early. Again, amazing hiking though.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, we have to keep cameras outside for safety concerns, and there is an entrance to the deck by the hot tub that we want to make sure is being monitored. This is in the listing and is standard in most properties. We did not receive a response from our welcome text that the early access had been granted, so I’m sorry this was not received! Thank you again for your stay!"

Angel Fire Family trip perfection
Well appointed home perfect for 2 families to get together! We had beautiful views from every room, enjoyed the hot tub and were able to cook anything we wanted with the well stocked kitchen and save left overs in all the provided Tupperware (rarely do places provide Tupperware!) Deer frequented the yard and we hung a hummingbird feeder and enjoyed the soft humm everyday. The stars were bright and we even saw an elk one day! Super great location for fly fishing in the Cimmaron and we also spent lots of time hiking, playing pickle ball and got on the golf course (in other words- everyone was able to do the activities they enjoyed all from this one place!)

From the owner: "Wow! It sounds like you were busy and had a fabulous fun-filled time! Thank you for the wonderful review. Hope to see you again!"
This cabin fit our extended family of 11 so perfectly. It has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and more. The views are absolutely amazing in real life-the pictures just don’t do it any justice. I figured 3 miles from the ski resort was a gimmick…it’s not! It’s so close to everything. We had neighbors but the lots are huge. Plenty of space and privacy. Our dog was able to run around and chase some deer without getting into trouble. We had probably 20-30 deer pass by our windows. They just hang out right outside the house without any worries at all. The basement was perfect for all the cousins to sleep and hang out (ages 4-15). There were a few toys and games for the little ones and they also had their own tv downstairs. But, there was also plenty of space for all of us to hang out on the main level to spend quality time together. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again one day. The booking process was easy peasy. Getting into the home was a breeze and the communication from the owner not just VRBO/Evolve was great!

From the owner: "Kelly, Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words! We hope you can stay with us again!"
Absolutely consider this as an amazing VRBO. Visited in June. The house is so open, you feel as if you’re always sitting outside. Incredible view – inside and outside- of Eagles Nest Lake and the mountains. If you need summer quiet and peace, look no further. The deck is large, and you are in the mountains. Chipmunks and crows/ravens will serenade and a wide variety of birds. You can hike/walk right on the property. Beautiful trees and rocks.
Amenities for cooking are far beyond what you expect. There is a supermarket at the base of the mountain and a couple of restaurants. If you prefer fast food, Angel Fire may not be for you. Some reviews mention a steep driveway. Not a problem at all, and much less of an incline than those you see driving up the mountain. No AC but the breeze was constant with windows open, so not a problem mid-June. Every room has a ceiling fan. Smart TV with all the apps loaded for your account(s). There are stairs, from the driveway, to enter the house. The deck/stairs have a gate you can lock if you have small ones.
The VRBO representative, Christine, was very available and checked in immediately upon our arrival.
There are marked trails for hiking by the home. About 18 miles down the mountain, in Cimmaron, there are pullovers with great scenery and the Palisades Sill is a must stop.
This was my first VRBO and I am truly grateful for the wonderful experience!!

Liked: Location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Not as advertised!
We arrived on a Sunday and there had been no measurable snow for at least 4 days.
-4:23pm unshoveled drive caused our 4WD to slide back and pop a tire
-No reimbursement on tire or stay offered after we told the (not) local contact what happened. We were stranded in a parking lot with our kids (the tire was seized). No roadside assistances or ride shares were available. We were 9 hours from home
-930pm 5 hours after notified, the drive still ice covered
-2 flights of stairs leading to house not shoveled, deep and icy
-the lamps inside were unplugged and fans didn’t have working lightbulbs so it was dark
-unfolded filthy high chair sticking out of entry closet
-king size room is a loft with no door and not at all a bedroom
-unmade bed with dirty bedding on ‘clean’ bed
-gross bath floor mat on the couch
-no toiletries, used hotel ones left behind in the shower from priors
-enough propane for 20 minutes in the patio heater, none in the grill tank
-broken fireplace wouldn’t work even with their special instructions = cold inside & no fireplace
-main patio not shoveled and deep so we couldn’t use it, no shovel provided
-they showed up on the property unannounced twice and we had 4 children there
-you can’t talk privately outside because their cameras listen..yes they tell you but creepy and unnecessary
-no maps or info about nearby trails
We paid close to $600 a night for a 5 star home. We left our 30yr anniversary trip disappointed by expectations
