Relaxing Getaway
We picked a house with a pool and hot tub because we knew we would be lounging around the house. We go to Palm Springs a couple times a year and always get a rental house. The property manager required a 48 hours notice to heat the pool. I sent in a request but never received a confirmation. When we arrived in Palm Springs I called to get confirmation and was told they never got the notice and their policy was that I would have to heat the pool for our entire stay even on check-in and check out day. I told them I did not see that in the contract and I only wanted it for the three days that we would be there all day. She said she would check with their team and get back to me. I then got an email about four hours later saying my request was denied. I called back and asked to speak with a manager or someone that could override the “team’s” decision. Then remembered that I could also send a direct message to the owner via the Vrbo website and did that. Within 10 minutes I received a text message saying that the pool would be heated for the three days we wanted it. I felt like the property management company gave me the complete runaround and I don’t know who their team is but it seems to me It’s one guy that comes out and turns on the pool heater. I appreciate that they cleared everything up, but that was a real pain to have to go through.
