Escape to Tranquility at Lake Onaping Lodge in Northeastern Ontario

1 hour North of Sudbury, Over 2000 miles of shoreline, Beside Provincial Parks and Trails.

Lake Onaping Lodge is a cottage lodge 50 miles north of Sudbury, located on Lake Onap-ing since 1928. Onaping Lake is a lake in Ontario, Canada. The most popular species caught on Lake Onaping are Smallmouth bass, Walleye, and Largemouth bass.

Activities at Lake Onaping Lodge include fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, ATVing, wild-life and nature viewing, and fall hunting.

Accommodations:
Lake Onaping Lodge has 6 fully furnished accommodations that are 2 to 5 bedrooms and 3 lakeside cottages on Lake Onaping. Lake Onaping Lodge has 2 beach areas and the mo-tel is located above one of the beach areas. The motel has 10 suites which are one bed-room with kitchenettes. Lake Onaping Lodge has a space for different size of groups up to 75 people. Contact us for reservations. Larger groups and & special events can receive a discount.

Boat Slips
Onaping Lake Lodge has 40 slips built in 2022 in the Onaping Lake. Slips sizes are from 16ft to 24 ft up. Boating on Lake Onaping is just wonderful.

Fishing:
Lake Onaping is well known for being one of Northern Ontario's best fisheries. We have fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout. There are streams and lakes within an hour's drive of base camp with good Brook Trout (Speckled Trout) fish-ing. Lake Onaping is also in the MNR stocking program with more than 500,000 Walleye and Lake Trout released each year. Our guests experience good sizes and good numbers. You don't have to drive 20 hours north to find great fishing.

Hunting:
The vast wilderness to the north is the perfect habitat to grow big Black Bear and Moose, which is why our hunting packages are so popular.
