Spotless modern inside ample tea coffee etc. Even an air fryer. Kangaroos hopping over the fence. We saw koalas. Even a mum and baby crossed the road in front of us. Bad mosquitoes. Remember repellent. Property is for sale so I don’t know how long it will be available.

We found the bed very firm and there was nowhere near enough cutlery and no baking dishes.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Koala Songs is a well laid out light-filled house with lots of views. Kitchen design is good, with induction cooktop. We had our small dog and both the front and back yards are very secure even for a Jack Russell sized dog, which is great because several "dog-friendly" houses we've stayed in do not have a secure yard for the smaller dog. The back yard is great to relax in. The koala area of the island is just a short stroll and the ferry is not too far.

Regarding activities and attractions offered by Raymond Island, everything was in line with the expected full immersion in an outstanding natural context. The only note is the absolute absence of shops in the island. Maybe a coffee shop or a small grocery would improve the overall experience.

Island life amongst the koalas

House accurately described with modern comfortable amenities. Backing onto nature reserve but unable to sit outside due to excessive mosquito activity. Mosquitoes bad inside upon arrival and no insect spray provided. First purchase from mainland next day! Unfortunately this did impact on our enjoyment of the property. Very safe enclosed garden for our dog.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family loves the tranquility and unspoiled natural environment of Raymond Island, and have visited it for several years. We always book our accommodation through Gippsland Lake Escapes, and have never been disappointed with the quality of the various houses we have stayed in on the island.This time we spent a long Easter weekend at Koalas Song, a very nice renovated house in a quiet back street backing on to bushland and fields, and only 5 minutes walk to the ferry across to Paynesville. The weather was chilly but the wood burning stove kept us nice and warm.

Peaceful and idyllic

We had a wonderful time at Koalas songs. The property was well appointed and had everything we needed. The renovations were done really nicely and the belied the rather aging exterior. It was warm and cosy - at least in the main living areas. The bedrooms could do with some heating as they were very cold in the dead of night, even if we left the doors open for the heat to circulate. The access to the Koala and Nature Walks were wonderful. We even had a koala nestled in the tree in the backyard at one stage. The property managers were wonderful. I locked myself out stupidly and gave them a call at 9pm and they were quickly helped, sorting out a spare key for me. As I said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If I had one negative, being well over 6 foot, the chairs and couch were a little too low for me, but otherwise, it was awesome.
