Brimming with pleasure boats, Newport Harbor takes on a life of its own — providing a picturesque backdrop to your stay at Wyndham Inn on the Harbor. The electricity of the harbor jolts onto Thames Street — Newport's nerve center — located at the end of the resort's driveway. Here you can taste local wines, savor fresh seafood, peruse unique boutiques and admire American art. As the sun begins to set on the rocky shore, head to the resort's rooftop deck for a panoramic glimpse of Rhode Island's scenery beneath a vibrant, sun-painted sky.



The resort does not assign the specific unit number until the time of check-in. If you have a room location and/or view preference, you can let the front desk know upon arrival during check-in. Please keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed, but the resort will do their best to accommodate.



If your arrival is scheduled for after 5 pm, please ensure to check in at the 24-hour check-in desk located at the Wyndham Inn on the Harbor property.

Everything was as described in listing. The unit was clean and contained all the items needed for a brief stay. The best features were the rooftop deck and stellar view from our unit.

Because guests cannot choose their unit when booking, and the units vary (timeshare property), it's difficult to rate an experience that would be relevant to others. Online photos depict a harbor view unit with an entry in the bedroom area - a different floorplan than the 1 bedroom suite we occupied. We liked our unit very much: clean, 6th floor (top floor, easy access to rooftop deck), convenient. Would stay again if we could be assured we'd have this unit.

Perfect location!! Great shops and restaurants all walkable. Weather was cool but there weren’t any crowds which was very nice. Nice relaxing few days. Will be back.

Newport stay

The location is excellent. It is close to the center of Newport and its many excellent restaurants. The staff are always available and knowledgeable. The room, although on the old side, was comfortable and had a wonderful view of the harbor. We did have a problem with a sticky door, but the staff immediately took care of it. In all a very enjoyable stay.

URI Family Weekend

The location and the room were perfect. There was ample hotel parking available. Upon arriving in our room, we were treated to a beautiful sunset. Our stay was very comfortable, and everything was within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful wedding weekend

Great clean hotel. We had 1 small issue with the room. And it was taken care of within 30 mins. Having the bar in the parking garage was a bit loud when coming home later in the evening but was not an issue at all in the room. Definitely would come back..

Awesome long weekend stay

Perfect location - friendly staff. Clean, great roof deck for guests. Pull up, park your car and leave it there, you won’t need it. Walk to everything. Would absolutely return!

Perfect place!

Loved the accommodation and location. Very easy to locate and lovely accommodating staff when we arrived a little early to check-in. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation very clean and well equipped. Very quiet and I was lucky enough to have a harbour view which was wonderful especially at night. I can highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if I was visiting the area. Thank you!

Anniversary trip
