Magnolia Retreat - Rocky Creek Art Garden

A delightful private retreat located in the original house built circa the 1920s. You will be captivated by the original art deco ceiling ornaments along with a fireplace and woodfire heater, and surrounding gardens featuring the magnificent Magnolia. The spacious retreat contains two bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom, a full-size country-style kitchen and dining area with a woodfire heater, and a laundry.

A deposit equivalent to 100% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking.
48 to 24 hours before the check-in time, we require an additional bond of $200 in case of any damages.

Over promised, under delivered

We booked because of the promise of open fireplaces and a cozy winter experience. The fireplaces were covered with chip board and the only heating was one small and one tiny oil heater and a kitchen wood heater that didn’t emit nearly enough heat. The lounge room had no heating and was unusable. At this price point you would expect matching dishes and wine glasses and something better than long life milk and some average tea bags. The grounds, whilst have potential are completely unkempt. The house itself is leaking as evidenced by several pots placed in rooms to collect water. This place has a lot of potential but for the price I cannot recommend it.
