Marina Bay House, Beautiful 4 Season Cottage with Amazing Bay Views
Marina Bay House is a cozy art filled haven perfect for 4 guests, in any season. Sitting on the edge of Lake Superior Provincial Park and near stunning white sand beaches and endless trails, both hiking and snowmobile, MBH is a perfect getaway for hikers, snowmobiles, sun worshippers and nature lovers.
MBH is also near one of only 62 Dark Sky Preserves worldwide and the night sky here is spectacular! View the stars from the private back deck at MBH or take a short drive to Sandy Beach, Government Dock Beach or walk down to the marina and take on stars seeming to be so close and bright that you could touch them!
Guests have complimentary use of an Ontario park pass which allows for access to all trails and venues in Lake Superior Provincial Park free of charge.
Michipicoten River Village, where MBH is located, is very safe, walkable to waterfalls, river trails and the marina. The village is small, less than 300 people and everyone here says hello and they’re happy to welcome MBH guests and make them feel right at home.
Marina Bay House is a four season cottage. Winter is snowmobile heaven here! Access to the official trail system is less than 1 km from the house, meaning no trailer is required to get in the trails…just park your trailer in the big driveway, unload your sled and go! Ice fishing and snowshoeing are popular winter activities here and you don’t have to go far to do either. We can certainly assist with recommendations! Spring is a good time to hike in Lake Superior Park before black fly season. Summer is premium time here on the eastern shore of Lake Superior! Trails are all accessible and all parts of Lake Superior Park are open, with special activities regularly scheduled at Agawa Bay Visitor Centre. Sandy Beach is warm in the summer, and shallow with a sandy lakebed. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the crystal clear warm water, the white sand beach and the absence of large crowds. Sandy Beach is free of charge to everyone. Fall colours are a very beautiful and special time here! The stunning mix of reds, golds, and oranges on the hills will have you stopping to take endless photos. A walk on any of the park trails during fall colours is considered the optimum time to hike; extraordinary colours, no bugs, less people…come and enjoy the eastern shore!

Beautifully kept, full of interesting things to occupy your time, well-stocked with LITERALLY ANYTHING you could need or imagine needing, and breathtakingly gorgeous scenery. The clearest, most detailed instructions/directions/suggestions of any place we’ve ever stayed.
Amazing home with unending artwork and decor. Very comfortable bed, wonderful view, but the best part was our wonderful host. Sandra was truly interested in making sure that our time there was the best experience we could have.
Beautiful and eclectic property with great proximity to Wawa and the great hiking trails within the Lake Superior Provincial Park. Check-in / out was very easy and Sandra really goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, she is an amazing host!

Spectacular place to stay while spending time exploring Lake Superior Provincial Park and Wawa! Countless special details by a creative and generous host. Truly a memorable experience. Remarkably clean as well! Would certainly return.
MBH is the most delightful VRBO we’ve stayed in. The host has personalized the home with beautiful and fun art work and memories. I told her she should write a book because I want to know the stories behind every piece of art and collections. Thank you for a fun stay.
Three generations of women stayed in this wonderfully situated home. We were well taken care of by the owner, and we loved our stay!! Our host was responsive, helpful and most kind. Strongly recommend!!!
2 of us stayed for 8 days. Our host is an angel. The accommodations were beyond words of perfection. To sum up our stay..."And I think to myself, what a wonderful world".

The host is truly concerned with your stay and has great pride in her property. Fantastic all the way.
This was a wonderful, eclectic little house to stay in. I absolutely loved all the decorations and art. Sandra was a very gracious and supportive host. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, which I appreciated as a home cook. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, close to amazing hiking and outdoor activities, this is your place!
This b& b is a gem and was incredibly clean, It had everything one could need and more.
MBH came recommended by a family member and definately exceeded our expectations. Thank you Sandra
We had a great stay in Wawa! This was a great stop on our Lake Superior Circle Tour. The location was great. Very close to Lake Superior Provincial Park. The views from the front porch were very nice. You have a nice view of the marina and of the waterfall! The house had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and lots of extras. The bathroom was nice. We took a nice trip to Lake Superior Provincial Park during our stay. The house had everything needed for a beach day as well! We would definitely stay here again!
Sandra was a wonderful and accommodating host. The house was so adorable, filled with eclectic art, and it was so fun exploring each room. It was very clean, with updated features and comfortable beds. The view of the marina and waterfall were wonderful as we drank our morning coffee. She left us lots of goodies (including delicious coffee) and the guidebook she provided gave awesome recommendations for beautiful spots to explore and experience nature. From hikes to kayaking, pictographs, and numerous waterfalls, pristine sandy beaches and swimming in crystal clear Lake Superior, along with small town charm, this trip was everything we could have hoped for to reset. I highly recommend booking here.
The house is situated in a peaceful village overlooking a marina as well as a beautiful waterfall. The owner has thoughtfully outfitted her property with just about everything one would need, from beach gear for sunny days to card games and books for when the fog rolls in. We slept with the windows open to the fresh lake air and found the beds comfortable with plenty of blankets for a chilly night.
The owner also shared a guide to local activities and sights to see; along with tips about shopping and dining out in and around Wawa. All in all, staying here at Marina Bay House was a great experience and we will heartily recommend it to anyone!
