Best Experience That We Have Had With VRBO
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This VRBO cabin in Guffey, Colorado is an absolute gem! Nestled in nature's embrace, near Pike National Forest, it offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and comfort. Doug, the property manager, was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, from offering local tips to promptly addressing any queries. The cabin itself is a cozy haven, beautifully decorated with a rustic touch. Whether we were relaxing by the wood-burning stove, the outdoor firepit, the cozy shed, or exploring the nearby trails, beautiful sites, The Guffey Bakery, or Colorado Mountain Distillers, every moment was filled with tranquility, serenity, beauty, OR deliciousness! I highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in Colorado. Thank you, Doug, for making our stay unforgettable!

Love the Guffey Cabin
Enjoyed a few nights to start the new year in this well-appointed cabin with still a feel of rustic. Wish we had been able to use the barn more but would be a cool place to spend time in the warmer months. Highly recommend the distillery nearby (great bar/restaurant where all the locals were friendly) and the bakery.

New Years in Guffey
We had a wonderful day at the property in Guffey. Stay there over the New Year’s weekend, and we’re within close proximity of outdoor activities as well as the three very quaint eateries nearby. The property was spacious for everyone. We enjoyed ample seating in the living areas as well as the dining areas. The kitchen had everything we needed i’m with the winter weather not being too cold. We were able to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and barn. We would definitely love to come and stay here again. Thank you!

A Quiet Retreat
One of my favorite things to do was sit outside, any time of day or night, and bask in the silence. A family of deer visited us regularly and so I would pull a chair to the window, with dog in lap so she wouldn't miss out, and watch the trio eat and nap. I loved that everything I may have forgotten was provided. We will definitely be returning!

Just what I needed and more!
I live in a major city and wanted a vacation (10 days) in more quiet, rural area. This cabin in Guffey was just what I needed and exceeded my expectations. I initially checked out Guffey on YouTube along with drive times to grocery stores and hiking trails, etc. There's a Walmart about 45 minutes away so I bought a collapsible cooler to transport perishables. Before arriving at the cabin, I was a bit concerned about kitchen accommodations because I wanted to prepare my own food and knew I couldn't just "run to the store quickly" as I'm accustomed to. I was completely impressed with a kitchen fully stocked with every cooking utensil one could need. There were even storage containers and really nice Ninja blender. The kitchen, along with pantry, included coffee, teas, spices, various snacks/treats and much more. It really felt like home with the stocked kitchen and I didn't need to worry about running out of anything. The cabin itself is very nice inside and out. Plenty of clean bedding, pillows, and towels provided. Lots of wood for the fireplace (and several movable heaters) with comfortable seating in the living room, really relaxing. There's a large dining room table that can seat 6 people. If you want, you can stream movies- know your passwords. Outside there's a table to eat at and another seating area with a heater. Deer regularly stop by the fenced in yard and if you fill the bird feeders you'll get lots of Blue Jays and other birds- very relaxing as I drank my morning coffee. The old barn was really cool. It has a couch and 2 rocking chairs. I'd open the barn doors in the morning and take in my coffee while breathing the mountain air. The sound of the wind blowing through the mountains was completely calming. There are corn hole boards/bags and box of cigars. The cigars were such a pleasant surprise I was not expecting. I kept coming across little amenities I was not anticipating to be there. It's obvious to me that a lot of thought and care has gone into this cabin by the owner which made for a really enjoyable stay. I honestly cannot think of anything that was lacking.I defiantly recommend this cabin for a relaxing vacation. In fact, I wouldn't mind living there for a longer period of time. This was my first visit to Colorado and I have decided I will return due in large part to my stay at this cabin. I was looking for a quiet, unrushed place to stay for my get away and I don't believe I could ask for more from my vacation here.
