Built in the early 1900s, Sunday offers 3 bedrooms, country kitchen and interconnecting dining and lounge rooms with an internal wood combustion fireplace. With two enclosed decks and outdoor seating you can enjoy the most magnificent view of Mount Mackenzie that Tenterfield can offer! Stargaze with a sundowner by our outdoor firepit.

Sunday is spacious and comfortable with unparalleled stunning mountain views that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Our base rate includes 2 bedrooms.

The house features soaring ceilings, VJ walls, and painted wooden floors, with newly insulated walls and ceilings to keep you cosy in Winter and cool in Summer. You can also enjoy the natural ventilation and the suntrap on the fully enclosed front and back decks, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Mackenzie, or spot our friendly wallabies bounding down the paddocks.

Sunday also offers a unique outdoor dining option with an all-year-round undercover deck and a firepit area with comfortable seating. The house is perfect for mountain bike enthusiasts, with Mount Mackenzie just a few minutes away. Or it's an easy cycle into the village.

Tenterfield Village and its shops, cafes, galleries and museums are only a 7-minute drive away.

Please note that smoking (including on the deck and driveway areas) is not permitted and pets are not allowed on the property.

New England Weekend

This beautiful property exceeded my expectations, on top of the view the house was immaculate. This beautiful house had the fire place set and ready for us to light on arrival which along with great beds and fresh linen made it lovely and warm for our stay. With some amazing meals in the local restaurants we had the perfect winter getaway. Fully recommend this property for your next adventure.

Cathryn is the owner of Mirumiru Bubbletent and co-owner of its farmhouse, Sunday at Mirumiru. She works in marketing, media and public relations as her 'day' job and has built a network of local suppliers and partners to fulfil her vision for this unique Tenterfield location. The vision for Mirumiru as a property is to re-vegetate an over-grazed and eroded small farm into a safe native bush environment. With jaw dropping views, the goal is to re-introduce people from large cities into the luxury of star gazing into dark skies, appreciating four distinct seasons and being more in tune with nature. The appreciation by guests for the New England area and efforts it has taken to re-build the property and renovate the dilapidated Queenslander farmhouse inspires Cathryn to continue to push forward with her vision for the property and hosting.

Why they chose this property

We specifically chose this property because of its ever changing mountain view, small billabong and granite mountain and relative quiet compared to the noisy main road in Tenterfield Village. It's far enough away from cafes and restaurants to be a peaceful country break.

What makes this property unique

The view and the pretty Queenslander. The view of Mount Mackenzie and Doctor's Nose to the west is simply unmatched by any other property. You can be on Tourist Route 9 or the mountain bike tracks on Mount Mackenzie in minutes.
