Weekend trip

We stayed for a weekend getaway. Plenty of comfortable beds, living space and bathrooms. Kitchen had plenty of utensils and cookware. Beach, dock and water were nice. Nice outdoor furniture for use. Our only negative was the wrap around deck. Some very soft boards and nails sticking up in places, there are rugs covering most of it-we wore shoes. Nice location, close neighbors on both sides.

Beautiful lake home

The home was beautiful and well cleaned. Having a dock to fish off of was great. A cute little beach for the kids to play in with an awesome fire pit. Will definitely come back again for our family gathering.

The communication with the property manager could have been better. A question I had sent in an email was never responded to. I couldn’t get into the property at check-in until I called and left a message. Other than that, everything was great. It is a very nice property right on the lake.

The property itself is great and a wondeful location, but does need some maintenance. Our main issue is we had issues with the bathroom toilet leaking sewage and the owner didnt seem to care and did nothing to attempt to fix it during our stay.

Gull Lake

Property was nice and spacious - lots of room for our accommodations. Local property manager was not very responsive to phone calls or returning calls nor making arrangements with VRBO on check in and out times agreed to ahead of time. Short on towels and paper products - had to make a run to the store for basic needs.

Family Getaway

We came to Gull Lake for a family vacation and this property was a great fit. We had four families staying under one roof and never felt cramped. The house was very clean and checkin was effortless. Had plenty of outdoor space to set up our crafts, games and sit around the fire. The view of the lake was amazing from the deck and dock had plenty of room for 2 pontoons. We did have to replace the entryway door closer for safety reasons when we arrived as it was broken and we were concerned the repeated slamming would cause further damage. Parking was tight for the number of vehicles we had there and hard to turn around on the narrow road. The only radon for the one star rating for the Host was we never contacted them. Overall a quiet and private location.

Ladies Weekend Up North

A group of six of us enjoyed a long fall weekend at the property. Beautiful views, nice house. Four main level bedrooms, two on each side of living area with a shared bathroom on each side. Large walkout lower level with bar, sectional seating and huge tv for movie nights. Second bedroom, bunk nook, and shared bath in lower level. Had a few small issues that the owner promptly responded to. Would stay again!

One of bedrooms had no sheets on bed. Basement smells really mist and wet. Carpet was soaked form rain water. Great Lake access and nice beach and easy access. Great number and size of bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen has most things we needed for family meals. I think property and deck need some more maintenance. The deck was a bit scary with young kids running around as they can easily fall through

Father's Day weekend

We had a wonderful time. We treated our two kids and their families on Father's Day weekend. The house had everything we needed. Grandkids loved the basement with the big tv and bunk beds, kind of like their own apartment. They went fishing off the dock and, in the kayaks, swimming and playing on the beach. We would stay here again.

Great Time!

We had the best time here! The home was clean, well laid out for everyone and they had everything we needed (infant needs, kitchen items, games, kayaks and paddle board). Bon-fires were fun. The lake was excellent for boating, fishing and tubing! Thank you for everything.

Overall it was a great get away. we always pick a different place for opening weekend, and this is a top contender. Plenty of things for the kids to do. We had a bonus weekend as it was super hot and the kids swam like crazy. Plenty of room for our big group. Thank you again.

Annual "Sisters" Weekend on Gull Lake

For 28 years we held our annual "Sisters" weekend at my home on Gull Lake, but it was sold last spring. We were afraid that staying at an unfamiliar place would diminish the kinship, intimacy and fun that we came to experience in the past, but we were wrong. This property was the perfect replacement. The well-appointed layout gave us plenty of space for breaking into little groups for individual conversations and yet allowed us to gather together at other times for games, laughter and meals. All 15 of us had comfortable beds, clean linens, and access to the 3 bathrooms. The location of the home on the western shore of Gull Lake allowed us a beautiful view of the lake while relaxing on the large deck or on the beach. We all agreed that this home was the next best thing to being at home.

Need some work!

Great location. But the property and house need a lot of work. Deck has holes in it. Bathrooms are very small and need to be redone. Sliding doors sticking. Screens with holes.
