Property is ok. Wouldnt book again for this price.
Overall this property was ok. It was not really what we were expecting and there are several details on the property listing which should be clarified:
1. None of the bedrooms are airconditioned, though the main upstairs AC unit works well.
2. The overall condition of the property is a little run down. This was sort of conveyed to us by the owner, but only after we had already booked the property. Elements of this are understandable as in keeping with the suburbs of Port Macquarie in general it is not a new property, but there are still a number of cleanliness issues which could be addressed.
3. The garage when we stayed was not available to us, which was contrary to the information we recieved and was not communicated prior to our arrival. So assume street parking only. The driveway is very steep, short and not really practical to use at all unless you are going into the garage, so be prepared to load/unload your gear from the street. If you dont have decent ground clearance on your vehicle street parking is all you get.
4. If you are travelling with a dog, the back deck is really great, but the only access to the backyard is down the internal stairs, which our dog refused to go down. So walks required for all toilet trips.
5. The pool fence on arrival was propped open by a rock = unprotected access for kids and pets alike. Probably not always like this but not a good idea at all. Not a problem for us, but parents of young kids beware!
