Pet friendly farm in a pine forest with easy access to the river with a large deep body of water for swimming, canoeing, fishing or picnicking with wood BBQ and toilet.
5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with 2 single beds.4M heated swim spa. House is warm in winter and cool in summer.
Native animals abound including Platypus whose habitat is in the river and if patient there is a good chance of spotting one. The pet ponies love human company. Walking trails, picking up pine cones, bird watching and feeding the ponies and Geese. Great cycling trails on level quiet roads with virtually no traffic. Panoramic views over the river and over the rural country beyond. Lovely sunsets.
Close to Berrima, local vineyards, Bowral attractions including the Bradman Museum and display gardens. Minimum stay of 3 nights on long weekends and school holidays. We are dog friendly. Ideal location for WFH with unlimited internet and enquire about discounts for extended stays. We now have two pet donkeys who love human contact. Nearby large studio/gym/pool table/two single beds and a toilet.
2 large outdoor shaded dining areas with wood bbq and fire-pit. Abundant cut and split firewood for the inside fire, 2 BBQs and an outside fire pit. MINIMUM STAY ON LONG WEEKENDS AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS IS 3 NIGHTS.

Weekend reunion

Very cosy staycation with family. Our hosts were welcoming, there was plenty of room for 8 of us to relax indoors, as the weather was very cold. The teens enjoyed feeding and grooming the horses. It is a great setting on the river.

Farm stay

Beautiful rustic home with all the country charm. We were given 3 bags of carrots to feed the ponies. You can feed the ponies at their stables, if you have young kids that freaked out like ours did! Spotted geese and an alpaca too, but we missed the Easter bunny even though they left a trail of Easter eggs. It was too cold to use the outdoor spa which the mums missed out on, but there was plenty of wood for the fireplace and that made things cosy. Outdoor BBQ was traditional with a firepit, just keep that in mind. It was very windy, so we only used it once. Must do, was to walk down to the river and go for a paddle in their canoe. Kids all really enjoyed that! Just make sure you remember to bring the kids life vests! Despite the wind, it was very sheltered in the channel. Thanks for having us!

I am a fifth generation of farmers and have lived in this magnificent region for most of my life. I have a passion for the country and for the surrounding outdoor environment and waterways and love chatting to guests as we live in a cottage on the farm remotely located from the Homestead. For the last few years we operated a very successful farm stay business across the river and had many positive reviews.

Why they chose this property

This pristine seculed riverside property has a true country feeling as it is isolated from neighbours but is only one and a half hours from Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra.
Situated only fifteen minutes from the Hume Hwy it is an east drive to Berrima, Bowral and a number of wineries.

What makes this property unique

Fish, swim, canoe or picnic at the open waters of the Wollondilly River. Enjoy bushwalking feeding the pet ponies and experiencing a variety of bird life and native animals.
