Cute efficiency/student apartment conveniently in St. Roch, about 20 min walk to Ville Quebec. Clean and tidy with everything you need for a comfortable stay! The street parking can be a bit limited, so mind the signs (can’t park for more than an hour during the day). Overall, nice place.
This condo was exactly what I was looking for and as described: amazing location (you can walk to all the beautiful sites), comfortable bed, clean and fresh, well equipped kitchen, affordable option. I would definitely book again!
We had a great time in Quebec City. The apartment is cute and cozy! Well situated. A short walk to Old Quebec and downtown area.
Ivan was a great host. There were issues with the wifi which he took care of promptly.
I would definitely stay there again.
Thanks Ivan!
The property was just as described and is located in a quiet neighbourhood, about a 15-minutes walk from Old Quebec. The kitchen was equipped with a blender, rice cooker, and even an air fryer in addition to standard appliances. The beds were very comfortable! The apartment is on the second floor which might be a challenge for guests with reduced mobility. We could hear footsteps from the unit above, but that was a minor issue. Parking is on the street which is busy due to nice restaurants around. Overall it was a good place to stay. Ivan was easy to reach and responded quickly to any communication. We would rent it again!
My wife and I came up to stay between Christmas and new years for some Old Quebec City magic. My son ended up tagging along and so we stayed and utilized the apartment for three nights. Ivan was super helpful and prompt with responses. We had a low battery on the door lock and he took care of it quick so we didn't have to worry while being out. The neighborhood is very Quebec. Narrow, somewhat quiet street on the edge of some fun neighborhoods. We Ubered everywhere and paid 13CAD at most anywhere we went.I have nothing negative to add... Ivan is a gracious host and we enjoyed our time.
We don’t normally do reviews but this stay was terrible. We arrived and the outside of the place looked nothing like the photo in the listing. Inside was clean but the bed was not made, dirty wet towels still hanging in the bathroom, and the dryer still running with sheets and towels in it. After a long day we went to bed at 10 pm only to be woken up at 11 pm by people arriving in the unit above us. We were on the middle floor of three. You can hear everything in the unit above. The noise went on until past 5 am. Different people coming and going all night up the stairs and being loud and noisy. Not sure what was all going on but it seemed very sketchy. It was scary and disturbing. We were so upset we packed up in the morning and left. We paid for 3 nights and left after 1. We messaged the host and asked for a refund for the two nights we did not stay for. He refused. We also contacted VRBO but so far they are no help. Very disappointed and disturbed.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Chose not to stay
On approach I found the area "sketchy" - garbage on street, buildings looking in need of repair, homeless folk and one person using drugs; there was no where to park (and if there was a spot it is 90 mins only mon-sat, there may be a parking lot a few blocks away); on arrival I noticed the outer door was ajar; inside there is a very steep longish narrow stairway to the unit; neighbouring unit door opens out and I was almost knocked down the stairs when she tried exiting her unit while I tried opening the door to the vrbo...once inside I could hear conversation next door, the unit was stuffy and dark, though listed items were present, from what I could tell, but not upto the comfort level I was led to expect from the ad. I did not feel safe or comfortable. My partner concurred. We agreed we were not going to stay. I sent the owner a message saying the unit/area was not acceptable and we wouldn't stay. I asked for a refund. The owner dismissed my concerns and refused any refund amount as per refund policy. I do give the owner top marks for prompt and professional responses. Again, I took a look and chose not to stay so take this review as you will.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the unit and area didn’t meet your expectations. I’d like to clarify a few things for future guests.
The guest left shortly after arriving without staying or using the amenities. The unit is clean, well-maintained, and accurately reflects the listing.
Regarding the outer door: in Quebec, the period from June to early July is moving season, and it’s normal for doors to remain open temporarily while people move.
As for the neighborhood, it is a safe, residential street with long-standing residents — families, students, and professionals. While downtown areas in any North American city may have visible social issues, our location is slightly removed and not typically affected.
Parking rules are clearly noted in the listing. It may take a few minutes to find a spot nearby, but most guests manage easily with a bit of patience.
Regarding the stairway incident, this is a shared building, and it’s likely the guest crossed paths with someone moving or in a rush — an unfortunate but unintentional moment.
I’m always happy to answer questions ahead of time to make sure guests feel confident and comfortable before booking.
I fell in love with Quebec City the moment I arrived—it’s a place full of charm, history, and warmth. Every corner has a story, and I never get tired of walking its cobblestone streets or enjoying a quiet moment by the river. Hosting allows me to share that love with others. I’m originally from elsewhere, but Quebec quickly became home. I enjoy meeting new people, discovering local cafés, and making sure my guests feel welcome and taken care of.
Why they chose this property
I chose the downtown/St-Roch area because it’s the perfect blend of old charm and new energy. There’s always something happening—great coffee shops, local art, cozy restaurants, and the buzz of the city. I love how walkable it is, how close it is to everything, and how the neighborhood feels alive but still relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can explore during the day and wind down peacefully at night.
What makes this property unique
What makes my place unique is how cozy and well-situated it is. You’re right in the heart of the city, but it still feels peaceful and welcoming—like a little retreat after a day of exploring. It’s the kind of space that makes you feel at home, whether you’re staying for a few days or more.
