This was a beautiful home. We all (8 adults, 6 kids) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The adults, sitting by the pool, near the hot tub, gazing out at the quiet cove and the dock could all enjoy watching the kids- paddleboarding, crabbing, jumping into the hot tub and pool. Well furnished kitchen-loved the 3 ovens and the two dishwashers. Few problems quickly solved by the host. Great place for our family vacation!
Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen and bathrooms were very nice. We went there for the crabbing and we got so many that we had to freeze them. Not much to do close by. We did go to St. Michael’s shopping one afternoon. It was a very cute town with lots of shops.
This was our first family vacation in Maryland after many years vacationing in other states, including nine years in the Finger Lakes. We hit the jackpot this year because the property was exactly what we were looking for. We needed room for 12 family members plus two dogs and now that the grandkids are older they wanted a pool because they weren't excited about having to "go jump in a lake."
We loved taking our morning coffee and sitting on the dock.
The pool, of course, was the main attraction and the enclosed sun porch was a close second as many were interested in watching the 2024 Olympics. Even though it was a very hot week, we didn't seem to mind. The yard was perfect for our family version of the Olympics. Our daughter and her family brought a small fishing boat and six kayaks which were all easy to put in the water.
We had several issues which were addressed quickly except for a clogged drain in one of the tubs but since there were other bathrooms, adjustments were made by our son and his wife to just use another shower.
Our family took a vote and wish very much to rent the same house again next year.
