Welcome to The Annex - your home away from home in the heart of historic Merrickville. Steps from the Rideau locks, shopping, dining, and popular wedding venues, The Annex is a place to call home as you explore all our village has to offer. Perfect for a couples’ weekend escape from the city or a spot to rest your head after your best friend’s wedding down the road. The Annex is a two-storey, one-bedroom/one-bathroom guest house with all the amenities, including a full kitchen, laundry, and air conditioning. Pullout couch available by request. This property is not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Additional rules
We do not permit the smoking of any substances on the property. Violation of this rule will result in a $500 cleaning charge.

For stays longer than 7 days, we will enter the unit at an agreed upon time to check on your accommodations and freshen up anything necessary.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Can’t wait to go back

If you are looking for somewhere quiet and calm in an idyllic small town you’ve found your spot. The annex is a beautiful space wrapped around the side/back of a gorgeous old farm house. Full laundry, espresso machine, air conditioning amongst many many other wonderful amenities. Will definitely stay again!

Fine Stay in Merickville

Excellent location for visiting the surrounding area. Very quiet space with the occasional train going by, the sound of which we both enjoyed. Comfortable and nicely decorated living quarters with a very good bed. Could use a microwave, but no real loss. Really enjoyed our stay!

Knapp cemetery exploration

Great location for a quick trip to find my Knapp great grandparents grave. Short drive to beautiful Perth. The Annex was perfect size for 2 of us

Comfy Loft in Great Location!

This two level loft had everything we needed. The location is perfect - quite walkable for a stroll to the scenic falls and the charming shops. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

A perfect wedding day stay!

We booked The Annex as our wedding day getting ready space and night of stay. The space was clean and quaint, with a lot of charm just like the town of Merrickville! We had access to plenty of space for parking, and the check-in/check-out process was seamless. The kitchen area was a perfect space for my getting ready team (hair & makeup) and the upstairs lounge/bedroom/bathroom was laid out nicely for photos, while we each got into our dresses. Thank you for an unforgettable 2 night stay and for making our wedding day as perfect as it could be!
