About this property
Bear Necessities - gorgeous view near Cherokee and Dillsboro
Welcome to Bear Necessities, a charming craftsman-style home nestled atop a ridge at an elevation of 3,000 feet. The breathtaking views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park from Bear Necessities are truly spectacular. Conveniently located between Cherokee and Dillsboro, NC, this home provides easy access to all the North Carolina Smokies have to offer. Relax and admire the sunset or stars from the deck or stone fire pit, and indulge in the soothing waters of the premium saltwater hot tub while grilling burgers on the gas grill. The interior rooms are thoughtfully designed to take full advantage of the surrounding mountain landscape. With use of the living room sofa bed, Bear Necessities comfortably accommodates up to 6 guest. You've found your perfect year-round Smoky Mountain getaway!
Owned by the Williams family since 2002 (who also own the nearby Dillsboro Chocolate Factory and Espresso Bar), Bear Necessities underwent recent upgrades in 2022 and 2023. The addition of new Serta I Comfort bedding ensures a restful night's sleep, while the Hot Springs saltwater hot tub and 4K smart TVs provide modern amenities for your enjoyment. The cabin also received a fresh coat of stain and a new Trex Deck. These improvements reflect our commitment to providing a place that honors your time and hard work.
Bear Necessities was previously managed by a local vacation rental company for nearly 2 decades, but in 2019, it was acquired by a national management company. The difference in service and detail is notable, and and now being under the management of Watershed Cabins, the home is once again providing a personalized guest service with local staff available to assist with any questions or issues that may arise during your stay. Whether you are a returning guest or a first-time visitor, we look forward to welcoming you to Bear Necessities and know you love living on Smoky Mountain time!
