House from the 70s, renovated, with private swimming (from may to september) pool and garden, located in a quiet housing estate, 500 m from the beach, in the heart of a small seaside resort. Capacity 10 to 13 people. House 10 people with independent kitchen, living room with wood fire, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower, 2 WC, + Annex against the house 3 people with kitchen area (for breakfast), 1 living room, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with WC and a small veranda. Private heated swimming pool, lawn, terrace, table tennis table, pétanque court. The house is ideally located between Le Touquet and Hardelot, two pretty well-known seaside resorts and the small fishing port of Etaples. Possibility of hiring at the weekend

Out of respect for the neighbors, we cannot accept noisy or nocturnal parties.

Family get together

House as Advertised . Very well equipped. Everyone enjoyed the pool, table tennis and football game. Short walk to and town and huge beach. Great time had by all.

Overall we loved staying here. The pool and the garden were perfect for our 6 children (3 to 11 year olds). We appreciated the large dining table, washable floors and generous provision of basic utensils etc. And we liked the artwork on the walls and the table tennis.There are small items which could be improved. The information about the house and the locality provided at the house is modest in the extreme. It took us 3 days to discover the tea towels, the wifi code was challenging (very unclear), and lack of washing up materials(brushes, cloths) and provision of just 2 washing up tablets seemed unnecessarily parsimonious.We also could not understand why we were not permitted to park any of our 3 cars in the driveways to both the house and the annex. Just seemed odd.But all the above are very minor and did not detract from a really enjoyable holiday.And we have a confession. On the very last morning due to a misunderstanding we opened the pool cover without undoing the clips. As a result all were broken. Please tell Taillefesse Fabienne that we will, of course, pay for the cost of the repair.

Très contente que vous ayez passé un bon séjour à Sainte Cécile Pour les voitures il y a un parking juste devant la maison avec de la place pour plusieurs voitures. Le code wifi est bien sûr inscrit sur la box internet (qui est placée sur une petite table à coté de la télé). Pour la vaisselle, il y a un petit nécessaire pour votre arrivée (liquide vaisselle, éponge et quelques pastilles lave vaisselle). A vous de le complété selon vos habitudes. Je rappelle que le linge de maison et de lit n'est pas compris dans le prix de la location.

Lovely break

Excellent communication from the start. Upon arrival, the property looked better than we expected. Lots of space and whilst it was quite basic, it was clean and tidy. External door on the annex is broken, so couldn’t be used which wasn’t a major issue for us but could be for some groups. There were also some broken tiles around the pool which were quite dangerous, so need looking at asap. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment for our needs and we enjoyed sharing meals together on the large tables. Enjoyed the bbq and boules set too.Thank you so much for a great holiday. Would recommend !

A comfortable, well equipped villa in a great loaction.

The villa was comfortable and well equipped. The weather was glorious during our stay, so we made the most of the garden and the swimming pool. The swimming pool and table tennis were well used by all, especially the children. Sainte Ceceile was a good base for exploring further afield, very close to the CWGC military cemetery at Etape and the beaches at Le Touquet. Sainte Cecile itself provided everything we needed in terms of a good beach, shops/markets, bike hire and decent restaurants, all within easy walking distance of the the villa. We were a party of 13 plus a baby celebrating both a 50th birthday and a 25th wedding anniversary. The villa was large enough to accommodate us all and Sainte Cecile provided something for everyone. Sainte Cecile is conveniently located for the Eurotunnel, approximately 50 minutes away on the A16. The villa owner, Fabienne, was very helpful and answered any queries we had before an during our stay. We all had such a good time that we hope to return next summer.

Villa with potential, but does not (yet) deserve 5 stars

To start with the most important: We really enjoyed our stay. The two key contributors to this have been the beautiful region (which offers a lot more than the coasts in Belgium or the Netherlands where we used to stay before) and the heated outdoor pool which not only the kids enjoyed every day. The villa unfortunately was not able to meet the high expectations we had from the nice pictures and very positive reviews. We did not expect a brand new house (which you will hardly find in this region) but were assuming it had been reasonably renovated. In reality only half of it is while the other half brings you back straight to the 70s. Especially the toilets, the annex and the very few wardrobes were disappointing. They do not only look old but also smelled musty when we arrived. We immediately bought air refreshers to bring it to an acceptable level. Since unfortunately it is not possible to upload pictures, I will give a few more examples of the current status: The roof and windows on the first floor have been modernized, while the windows on the ground floor and most of the doors are still old. The street facing and the pool facing fronts which are shown on the pictures have been refurbished, while the two gable walls were not. The North facing one is not visible from the garden, but the other one is and the flaking paint with the remainder of a broken satellite dish can only be described as ugly. Our overall impression is that this villa has been lacking maintenance and refurbishment for many years and that just 4 or 5 years ago the owners started to invest in it. It will most likely take another 3 years until it is completely modernized (at least when we left we were told that it is planned to do so). Most of the other points like the walking distance to the beach or the nice and fully equipped and modern kitchen have already been mentioned in other reviews, so I will just confirm this without going into details. The final thing I can confirm is the very friendly and helpful owner Fabienne. She is the reason while I still give it an overall rating of 4 stars. 3 could easily be justified as well (especially when you visit it between October and April when you can't use the pool). I can hardly understand how so many others rated this at 5 stars. A lot of additional investment will be required until it realistically deserves such a high rating.

A juste titre, la réfection du pignon est prévue pour cet automne. Toutes les portes et fenêtres (en bois) ouvrent et ferment normalement. Faut il des fenêtres en PVC pour passer de bonnes vacances ? J'espère ne pas avoir dissuadé Stephan de continuer à visiter notre belle région. On peut y trouver de belles villas neuves à louer qui conviendront mieux à ses attentes.

C'est la première fois que nous avons séjourné dans la maison et c'est avec le plus grand plaisir que nous y reviendrons. Tout y a répondu à nos attentes: le contact facile avec la propriétaire, la propreté et le confort de la maison, la qualité de la literie... et bien sûr la piscine. La plage, le marché, le centre de la station sont facilement accessibles à pied. A recommander absolument.

Séjour agréable, mais malgré le montant très éleve facturé pour le nettoyage (170 ) celui-ci était loin d'être parfait, notamment au niveau de la cuisine.Si la facturation de l'hôte était conforme à l'offre, celle d'ABRITEL est une véritable arnaque :- lors de la réservation : location 1610 , frais hôte 210 , frais services 227,42 , taxes 77,16 - Total 2124,64 - après demande de location de linge de lit et de toilette : location 1610 , frais hôte 300 , frais services 264 taxes 81 - Total 2255,00 - au moment du paiement : location 1610 , frais hôte 300 , frais services 319,44 , taxes 81 - Total 2310,44 Les 90 demandés par l'hôte pour la location de linge ont donc été majorés de 319,44 - 227.48 91,96 par ABRITELLors de mon appel téléphonique du 23 juin à 9h39 à ABRITEL (33 4 13 68 02 88), la dame qui m'a répondu a été incapble de me donner la moindre explication cohérente sur la surfacturation de cette location de linge. Elle m' a surtout parlé de TVA (?). Si cette TVA en France est de 91,96 sur un montant à payer de 90 , je vous plains....En ce qui me concerne, je ne ferai plus jamais appel aux services d'ABRITEL.Claude PONCIN

La maison est très bien située dans un endroit calme ,pas très loin de la plage. La piscine est très agréable ,nos petits enfants y ont passé pas mal de temps. La maison est très bien équipée et pas loin de petits magasins de première nécessité

Entspannte Zeit in Strandnähe

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und es gibt alles, was man fürs Kochen und gemeinsame Essen in einer größeren Gruppe braucht. Auch die Zimmeraufteilung war für uns super und es gibt eine extra Dusche und eine extra Toilette zusätzlich zum großen Bad (in dem kein WC ist), so dass man auch mit mehreren gut zurechtkommt. Im Seitenanbau ist auch nochmal eine kleine Küchenzeile und ein Bad. Der Garten ist super zum entspannen, mit Schatten, vielen Liegestühlen, Pool und ohne Einsicht von außen.Das einzige, was unserer Meinung nach noch schön wäre, dass kleine Reparaturen (Tischtennisplatte, Griff an Tür) gemacht werden. Mich hat das aber nicht gestört. Ich fand es sehr hübsch, entspannend und sympathisch. Der Strand ist sehr nach und richtig toll! Ich kann mir vorstellen wieder dort einen Urlaub zu verbringen!

Schöner Aufenthalt mit Pool

Wir besuchten das Haus für 14 Tage mit 3 Erwachsenen und 3 Kinder (6-13 Jahre alt). Das Objekt ist für 6 Personen großzügig gestaltet, Reisen mit mehr Personen wäre problemlos möglich. Die Sauberkeit bei Ankunft war okay. Das Objekt an sich befindet sich in akzeptablem Zustand, ein Renovierung könnte hier und da allerdings nicht schaden. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war hervorragend. Auch bei Problemen (zu Beginn hatten wir kein warmes Wasser) wurde sofort gehandelt und ein Klempner organisiert. Der Pool (das "Kernstück" der Unterkunft) wurde regelmäßig (nach Absprache) gewartet. Die Umgebung bietet mit dem fußläufig zu erreichenden Strand Urlaub pur, ein Minimarkt und mehrere Restaurants sind ebenfalls per pedes erreichbar. Größere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich gut 5 Autominuten entfernt. Weitere Unternehmungen sind in 30 Autominuten erreichbar (z.B. 2 Vergnügungsparks oder auch Le Touquet). Alles in allem können wir das Objekt guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
