About this property

Come escape to our waterfront oasis on Quadra Island. This 800 sq ft. brand new cottage is nestled on a remote acreage in Gowlland Harbour. If you love a morning paddle, kayaking or soaking in the scenery, you just found your happy place.

Our cottage has two bedrooms furnished with queen sized beds. A bathroom that includes a soaker tub, perfect after a long day exploring the Island, as well as a stand up tile shower.
The open concept living room and kitchen provide ample natural light and views of the ocean from every window. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances to cook up a delicious meal.

Outside, enjoy the beautiful serene surroundings from the covered porch. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the boats in the harbour, or rinse off from the day with the outdoor shower.

Other things to note:
Our property is adjacent to Gowlland Harbour Log Sort, while it is not often operational during summer months, we cannot guarantee this. When in operation, it’s hours are typically M-F, 8-4. With the operation of a log sort, comes the noise of tug boats, and equipment.

Swell Life Cottage is not suitable for young children, or anyone with mobility issues. This property is on a rock bluff, surrounded by water and uneven walking ground.

Outstanding in every way!

We couldn’t have been happier here. What the photos don’t show is the high quality build and superior finishing to this wonderful house. It really is wonderful, with comfortable beds and thoughtful comfortable living spaces inside and out. The rocky bluff and its sunsets were like a travel magazine! Chelsea was an amazing host, great comms and a kind welcome gift. Highly recommend.

Great location great accommodations!

Beautiful property and super well-designed accommodations. Could paddle right from the beach around Gowlland Harbour. The place was super well stocked and the kitchen wasn’t missing any essentials. An amazing experience!

A Tranquil Paradise on Quadra Island

The Swell Life Cottage on Quadra Island surpassed all expectations and left us longing for more. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful ambience of the property embraced us, offering a haven of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Breathtaking views from the large windows were perfect for relaxation adding remarkable spaciousness and serene calm. The expansive deck offered panoramic views of the inlet and surrounding forest, creating a picturesque backdrop for morning coffees and sunset cocktails. The thoughtful furnishings and impeccable design effortlessly blended modern comforts with the island's rustic charm, creating an inviting atmosphere. Did I mention the fireplace and outdoor shower?! Located on a point with distant neighbours, it felt like a romantic private retreat. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. Amenities on the island are sparse, but with a good grocery shop, you’re not going to want to leave. Although, there are an abundance of easy to do adventures and scenic activities leaving you in awe of its natural splendour. Quadra boasts an extensive network of hiking trails, allowing you to immerse yourself in the lush forests, cool lakes, and breathtaking vistas. Kayaking along the island's pristine coastline is an absolute must, providing an up-close encounter with marine life and explore rugged shorelines. Without a doubt, Chelsea and Arden created a hidden paradise. We are already planning the next visit!
