The Neighborhood:
A tourist destination in its own right, Kingston Beach is a sleepy coastal village located on a wide expanse of bay near where the Derwent River meets the Southern Ocean. The residence is peacefully positioned just 300m from the pristine sands of Kingston Beach and a collection of seaside eateries including the iconic The Salty Dog Hotel with its bistro, beer garden and live music as well as an assortment of cafes, ice cream parlours plus pizza and fish ‘n chips shops.

The popular Kingston Heights bush track winds around the coast from Kingston Beach to Boronia Beach and offers spectacular water views as well as a plethora of flora and wildlife. The main shopping centre is at Kingston, literally a couple of minutes up the road, and has everything from specialty shops, supermarket, restaurants and takeaways. Kingston Beach Golf Course is only short drive away, a picturesque links style course that lays claim to being the southernmost championship golf course in Australia.

Jump in the car and it’s less than 20 minutes along the freeway to Hobart’s CBD where it’s easy to park and a short stroll to everything from historical landmarks, Salamanca Markets and cosmopolitan eateries to picturesque parkland, Constitution Dock and the ferry to MONA. The Bruny Island ferry leaves from Kettering, just 20 minutes down the coast, and the wineries of the Huon Valley make for a great day trip, just 30 minutes inland.

We recommend you have a car to explore the area, such as a trip to Bruny Island, and other wonderful scenery right on your doorstep.

Other Things to Note:
The fire place shown in the living room is not in use, however there is ducted heating to keep you warm and cosy in the Winter months
The garage is not available for use however there are 2 off street parking spaces.
