Tiny home with everything you need in one small package. Short distance from Mammoth Cave National Park, the visitor center is a bit further but easily drivable. Great hosts, would recommend!

We had a nice stay at this tiny place. The place is comfortable enough. However it is NOT a short walk to Mammoth Cave NP. It is however just a 15 minute drive to park visitor center and tours.

Just a short trip

We come every year a few times and normally stay at the Buoys there is a group of us and it was booked they are having big water issues so we picked this nice little place. It was a bit out of the way but still very nice. We go to blue holler and ride rzr’s so it was nice to just come back and relax.

Nice Stay Overall

The place was nice for what I needed. Overall a good place. Had the essentials and was clean. One thing I do want to note is it was quite stuffy. I tried to open the windows but there were no screens (and lots of bugs/spiderwebs on the windows). The filter on the AC unit needed to be changed, and it smelled a little moldy. The shower also leaked quite badly when I used it. Overall good, but maybe a couple small things to address.

Nice little piece but bad neighbors

We had a nice stay. We loved the location. And the privacy. It was very cute just the right size for us. We would go back. Our issue was that the neighbors renting the place next door had 8 cars. They would take all the parking space in front of our rental and park us in. we would have to go get them to move their cars so we leave. After they left Sunday morning I had to pick up their trash they left in the yard. We messaged our host multiple times and they never responded back. It would have been perfect if it wasn’t for how inconsiderate the wedding party renting the house next.

Please look at the air filter on the air conditioner. It has black mold and this did affect my husband. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Little cottage has it all

My daughter, 21, and I stayed for a week during spring break in March to visit Mammoth Cave and to do a day trip to Nashville (90 min. drive). We booked this trip at the last minute when we found this reasonably priced cottage to rent. It was as adorable as the photos show. It was clean, convenient, quiet, and surprisingly well-thought out, with all the things you need in one little studio. Though there is not a stove/oven, there is a hotplate, and outdoors there is a grill and a fire pit. The fridge is a decent size, but note there is no freezer. We spent all day exploring and then spent our evenings around the fire and stargazing. It was in a convenient location -- just a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center and about 15 min. to the nearest "town" if you wanted to go out to eat or get something at the store.

The unit was small, which was fine with us, but we did need to pull the bed away from the wall so that both of us could in and out. Mattress was comfortable. Bathroom was great! No freezer, which was a little bit of a downside as we use a lot of ice in our drinks. We had trouble finding the unit, as it's tucked in behind another property. The only reason we rated the National Park experience low is because it was closed down due to the government shutdown. If we needed to stay in the area again, we would definitely stay here.

Cute place overall but not as clean as expected.

The location was good, close to Mammoth caves, and the interior was cute, but when we arrived there was a lot of cobwebs and dust, like it had been a while since it was thoroughly cleaned.

Great deal, great location

Overall, great experience. We had some issues gaining entrance. Pressing the button above the keypad, which just looks like the manufacturer’s logo, at the conclusion of entering the code should definitely appear in the instructions. The place is centrally located to all the sights, and is definitely quite the deal for the money. CO alarm went off in the middle of our last night there. Host was contacted and said it would be addressed. Ideal for a single traveler or couple. I would not recommend kids, however, despite the size, it’s hard to beat for anyone who doesn’t need fancy accommodations.

Great deal, great location

Super close to all the sights, and overall a great deal for the money. If you are a single or couple who don’t require ritzy accommodations, this is the place for you. The only negatives…the entry code needs to be followed by pressing the “manufacture’s button” at the top of the keypad (didn’t even realize it was a button). I don’t recall that being part of the instructions. CO alarm went off in the middle of the night, spoke to host who indicated it would be taken care of. Overall, fun time. Cramped, but manageable.

Great location!

My husband and I took a quick trip to mammoth cave and the location of this property could not be beat. We were a short drive to the cave and lots of hiking! The lodging met our needs, as it was just the two of us so we didn’t need much space. We arrived late at night though and it took a few minutes to locate the property because it is hidden behind another home, difficult to see from the street and our GPS repeatedly had us drive right past. We would definitely stay here again!

Tiny home has it all

My daughter, 21, and I stayed at this adorable little home for an impromptu spring break trip to Mammoth Cave National Park and a day trip to Nashville (just a 90 min. drive away). We were impressed with how well-planned the space was and it contained all the things we needed, including a hot plate and a decent size fridge. (Note it does not have a freezer, so plan accordingly). It was clean, cute, air-conditioned and we enjoyed having a fire each night in the fire pit, stargazing, and petting the neighbor cats who wandered over from the farm nearby. I was happy to find some of the basics there, like paper towels, hand soap, salt-and-pepper. It was a quiet and just a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Though it's a small space, it was just perfect for the two of us.

A Lovely Stay

We stayed for 3 nights here to visit Mammoth Cave National Park and the surrounding area. For the price, you can not beat this rental's location and amenities. You are on the edge of the national park and 15 minutes away from the visitor's center (which we visited every day because of how close we were to it). The rental was just what we needed for the two of us. We especially appreciated the extra shampoo and conditioner, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, towels, and blankets. There were also plates, bowls, and utensils available for use, and the host left us a new bottle of dishwashing liquid and a new sponge for washing dishes, which again was very appreciated. We visited in early March, and the temperatures were in the 50s during the day and 30s at night. We felt comfortable with the window unit blowing heat. The refrigerator worked great and kept our food cold. The microwave was also a nice amenity. There is also a space heater available in the unit. The shower was nice and warm, and just enough space. The stars are very visible in this location, and if it were warmer, we would have definitely utilized the firepit and done some stargazing. Also, it is worth mentioning that the neighbor has some cats wandering around, so be careful when driving up and down from the rental. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely rent again if we returned to this area.

Birthday getaway

Nestled quietly off the road, it provides a nice quiet retreat that is close to mammoth cave and other attractions. Cell signal is not so much but that’s no worry. We went in early February, 40s-50s. A extra blanket is provided but we didn’t need it. Nice bathroom.

Perfect spot right outside the park

This was perfect for me and my dog’s trip to mammoth cave state park. The cottage is about a minute away from one of the entrances to the park, and was a cozy spot for us to relax in between adventures. The farm next door was a pretty view, and the bed was super comfortable. It was chilly when we were there and the heat seemed to work well.
