Fabulous Couples Retreat!

My husband and I loved our stay here. The property is gorgeous inside and out, the bed is super comfortable and the view is lovely. There is a fabulous fire pit and hot tub as well. Perfect for two people. We will definitely stay here again.

bad timing

First, the cabin is well curated and looks great. It is ready for a weekend of relaxing. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm/tornado greeted us the first night and we were without power the entire time after that. We left a day early because we had no hot water, AC, ice, etc. Couldn't use hot tub. Couldn't stay in the cabin because it was a sauna with all those windows shining sun in - and not one window opens to allow in fresh air. I left the door open for a while but that brought every cicada, wasp and stray dog in. None of this was the responsibility of the owner or management company. My only suggestion is consider changing a couple windows to allow for outside air to come in. Even with power, guests won't always want heat or cool on. Lastly, I recommend a service recovery program be put in place. No, it wasn't anyone's fault, but it would have went real far if a) we were kept up to date on when the power might be restored, and b) how hard would it be to drop off a bag of ice to your guests? That simple gesture would go far in us choosing this cabin or management company for future trips.
