About this property
Grandview Lodge, a peaceful, spacious retreat. Sleeps 9 in 4 bedrooms
Now with individual Air Con and ceiling fans in every bedroom and the lounge!
Grandview Lodge is part of the Barrington Wilderness Estate set on 180 acres. Peaceful, spacious and family-friendly, it's a space in which to relax, reconnect, and be at one with nature. The lodge is on its own 0.6 of an acre, and while there are other properties in the estate, they are all very private. Grandview is especially secluded with no passing guests or traffic. There is a swimming pool, tennis court and small playground very close to the lodge, which are shared with other guests.
Stunning views abound at this spacious, tranquil property. With a huge undercover verandah, bbq, and a large outdoor dining table, there is room for everyone to spread out. Enjoy bird watching, the frequent company of wallabies, looking out for echidnas and even spotting the occasional koala.
Very well equipped kitchen with brand new appliances and espresso coffee machine. There are four spacious bedrooms; two with brand new luxury queen beds, one with a new double and single, and the final one with a queen. Bedroom 5 is used as a second living room with a television, sofas, kids' table and chairs, and has direct access to the wonderful veranda. There are two bathrooms; one with bath, shower and toilet, the other with shower, toilet and laundry facilities. There is a travel cot and high chair.
One of the best things about Grandview Lodge (aside from the amazing views), is the proximity to the pool and tennis court, which are a very short walk from the lodge. There is also a small playground, tables and chairs, a BBQ and toilet facilities at the pool area. Please do be advised that a section of the walk back up is quite steep. Tennis racquets and balls are provided at the lodge. Please note that pool towels are NOT provided; please bring towels for the pool.
Nearby are Chichester Dam, the Jerusalem Creek Walking Trail in the Barrington National Park, and the gorgeous town of Dungog is 20-minutes drive away with plenty of shops, cafes, a brewery, and the IGA for supplies. Note that this is a quiet location, off the beaten track, a comfortable country home, best for relaxing and spending quality time with family and friends. You do need to bring all your food with you.
Other things to note The roads in the Barrington Wilderness Estate have recently been upgraded (June 2023), and are easily traversable (with care) by a two-wheel drive vehicle.

Lovely spot. Enjoyed the bird life and just relaxing.
We are seniors (60+) living in different places in NSW who like to catch up every 6 months or so. This was a lovely place to do this. Very comfortable.
We stayed for our Mum's 85th birthday with the rest of our family. We checked out Dungog township but otherwise mainly stayed at the Lodge. We had plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the front porch is amazing.
Fantastic property and location, excellent communication from Cerian.
We felt like we were in our own little slice of paradise.
We really enjoyed the serenity of the property, the birds were keen to see what we were up too (and what we were eating!!), and it was great to see the wallabies, goanna and other wildlife on the property.
Short walk to the communal pool and tennis court, there wasn’t really any need to leave for anything!!
Really enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to return soon!
