Everything went smoothly, Staywell Hospitality is a great host, responded quickly and was very accommodating I will book it again next time we’re in Chicago
Great location, clean apartment and friendly lobby staff. Clear communication regarding check in and out and good recommendations for local dining options.
Great location and good place to stay. Excellent communication with the host throughout the booking and stay. The unit was clean, close to metra and south shore station, short uber/lyft to Midway Airport and close our activities in the downtown area. 3 beds, 2 baths was good for the 4 of us. I slept on the couch others had their own room. We did arrive early and the host allowed us to drop our bags- Art - gentleman who was cleaning was very hospitable and helpful. Would definitely recommend this location.
Close to Michigan Street shopping and plenty of restaurants, Navy Pier, museums, aquarium and just a short uber away from the zoo and Museum of Science and Industry! Very spacious with three bedrooms/two baths and perfect for multiple couples or family travelers!
The condo was nice but the furniture was not comfortable. I didn't realize how loud and bright the bedrooms were, it would be great to have some "black-out" curtains (might help with the noise too).We enjoyed the pool table on floor 19 (that was a nice surprise). The beds were very comfortable.
Very lovely home! We had everything we needed in a home and location is close to all the main attractions. We even saw fireworks from Navy Pier at midnight. Owner was very helpful with any questions and always responded so quickly Would go back there again! A-Team
What a convenient location! We used the train system..just a block away...to get from the airport. We also used it to get to the Cubs game! So easy! The property was great for us..including a 16 and 20 year old..they each had their own space to relax after 20K steps around Chicago :)...Overall clean...baseboards pretty dirty, but the important stuff was clean. They didn't have any spices/ condiments other than salt/pepper, making cooking a little more difficult...which meant we had to find more places to eat ...not a horrible problem :). I would highly recommend!
Lovely corner unit, beautiful views. Comfortable and extremely well located in the loop! Easy walks to the art institute, millennium and grant parks, the river walk, Michigan ave, so much good food and all the train lines. The apartment was well supplied with anything we needed and hosts were very responsive when we had a question. Felt very safe and secure. Highest recommendations for this wonderful spot!!
The view is wonderful, you can see the Sears Tower and several other iconic buildings out of the window. It's conveniently located near bus stops and the L-train stops. Easy walking distance to the art institute and the park. The beds are comfortable, I've never slept so well away from home. It has all of the amenities that you need. We ordered Amazon fresh and had groceries delivered for breakfast. I ordered extra toilet paper and paper towels and brought extra laundry and dishwasher detergent but didn't end up needing them. There was also salt and pepper and a bottle of vegetable oil available just in case. The building itself is gorgeous and the front desk and other tenants were friendly and helpful. if I were to stay in Chicago again I would choose this property again without hesitation.
Great apartment. Beautifiy decorated. Very clean. Fabulous location. Only negative was the noise from the subway/ busy city but the owners provided many assitive devices in each bedroom to adapt: noise canceling sound machine, fans, ear plugs. Those adaptions made it work for us but if you are a very light sleeper could be an issue?
The apartment was nice, clean and felt safe once inside the building. However, the block it is on is very dangerous with active drug deals going on. There were 20+ people right outside the door to the building each night and it was very unsettling. Even our uber drivers told us that it was very unsafe.

Stayed 3 nights in Jul 2024

Hi Margot, we're so sorry that your stay fell short of expectations, but we must dispute your contention that the location is "very dangerous." This building is located in a busy urban tourist and business district, so yes there are people walking and standing around even at night. It is 3 blocks from major attractions like the Art Institute, Michigan Avenue, etc. Like anywhere in downtown Chicago, visitors should exercise standard precautions when walking around. Future guests should know that this building is very secure with a 24 hour doorman, additional overnight security guard, and secure elevators that can only be accessed with a resident key fob. We have hosted thousands of guests at this location over the past 5+ years without incident.
This apartment is lovely, in a fantastic location & the building is gorgeous. Walking distance to so many things & the L train is very close for everything else. We had a bit of an issue our first night but management was super responsive and quick to remedy the situation for us. They get 5 stars for their communication. Our only complaint is the noise level. This building is old (built in 1890, I believe) and its possible the windows are original and they do not block out any street noise. If you are a city person, used to city noise, it would probably be just fine for you. However, we are not, and we didn't sleep for 4 nights. Our quiet suburban neighborhood has ruined us for city street noise at night. We had on fans & sound machines and wore ear plugs and the street noise (sirens, car engines, people yelling) was still SO LOUD. I believe if there were at least some blackout curtains that could be closed at night, it would be helpful. As it is, there are only mini-blinds. They do nothing to keep out the light or the noise. We very much enjoyed our trip to Chicago, we just wish we could have slept better each night.
We loved it!! The building is historic, the concierge(s) are fabulous! It's a secure building, so we didn't feel weird about leaving our luggage on a trolley in the hallway outside the apartment when we arrived early. We even took advantage of the game room on the 18th floor while we waited. The location can't be beat for exploring Chicago, which we did despite the winter temps! Hopped on the Pink, Red and Brown Lines and they took us everywhere we wanted to go. A variety of local markets, shops and restaurants were so convenient. 7/11 is just downstairs for those quick needs. We used the kitchen for breakfast and it is well appointed, has everything you need. Bathrooms are spacious! Something that really makes a trip comfortable. Beds were comfortable, foam mattresses and firm! The weather was in the 20s but coming back to this apartment was like changing seasons. The apartment was extremely hot and it was difficult to regulate a comfortable temperature. We contacted the host and they gave us recommendations, but the heat was still pouring out. Can't really complain! But we worried about the heat (We're landlords back home!)Our adult children would like to return in the summer because of the ideal location!Thank you for providing such a splendid location and apartment! I hope everyone else who stays with you enjoys it as much as we did!
