About the host
Hosted by Steve & Danielle Gerencer RUMEN THE HAZ
We are Steve & Danielle Gerencer, from Canada. Steve is of Hungarian/Slovenian descent and Danielle is of Canadian/Scottish/French descent. We enjoy traveling to learn about the world, the history, and people.
Why they chose this property
Steve: As a child, I would frequent my grandparent's home every summer. I grew up speaking Hungarian, as this was the language in the area at the time. As a Canadian boy visiting family during times of communism, there have been many a story told from my naive antics of those times. The home sat empty for over 25 years since my grandparents passed, and Danielle and I are proud to have updated it and keep as much of the heritage as possible. My family still resides in the region.
