About this property

Jack Lake Kawartha Cabin

Jack Lake Cabin is a rustic country get away, perfect for a romantic vacation or a kid friendly family summer home away from home.
Curl up by the old school wood fire place with a book or a movie with loved ones! Build a puzzle with the kids, or play a game of Scrabble over some complimentary Rose.

The lake is approximately 10 feet from the living room window, giving you a dreamy view as you wake up in the morning to a gorgeous sunrise across the glass-like water. Ideal for folks into nature and swimming, as the cabin is situated in the heart of the Kawarthas, and is equipped with kayaks! The sunsets are breath taking, pink and orange in colour on most dusks, and the soon to be dock, is also ideal for fishing bass and Northern pike. There is a large field in the back as well, which will soon, come spring, have a badminton net and room for tents. Hiking paths and waterfalls are popular destinations in the area for nature lovers.

Deer are often sighted as well if you are lucky! Adorned with a full kitchen, and outdoor BBQ (propane included), foodies will have an opportunity to utilize the cooking facilities and dine either outside on the patio table, or inside at the 4-seat dining room table with a full view of the lake.

There is a bird feeder outside the window of the living room, where birds such as hummingbirds, quite often will come in and say hello! The lake is relatively clean, and shallow, with little to no seaweed, but some rocks (I suggest wearing crocks or water shoes for children). The shallowness of the lake makes for typically a warmer swim than surrounding areas.

This is a magical cabin, that leaves visitors feeling cozy, safe, and inspired. The 900 sq feet property is made almost completely of wood, and leaves it's visitors with a woodsy, fresh, country smell. It is also kept immaculately tidy! So please help us keep it that way! We have just renovated the entire interior to suit your comfort.

Does this sound like your perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of the city?

Cozy cabin on the lake
Dana was a great host and very responsive. The cottage is very close to the water which makes for amazing views and sunsets. I will definitely be going back in the summer when we can swim.

Cozy Oasis, serene lake
Jack's lake is exceptionally beautiful. Visually, the water and nature is stunning. We had awesome sleeps, since the area is so quiet. Also, the view from the dining room is gorgeous, in the morning the front windows give you a breathtaking view of the calm water and trees. We'll be coming back in the summer months! One thing to know is that Dana will provide wood for burning in the old style fire place in the living room, but be prepared to put in a lot of effort to stoke the fire in the colder months. She was very responsive and we felt comfortable in the cabin. Enjoyed our stay.
