The Space:
Aurora Lookout by Tiny Away, meaning sunrise, is named after its elevated position near the easternmost point of Australia, offering breathtaking views at sunrise. This property features two holiday homes, with "Aurora Summit" positioned at a higher elevation, boasting spectacular views of the coast, and providing the ultimate pleasure of waking up to the sunrise here.
Every morning, you can experience the breathtaking view of the sunrise and be one of the first people in Australia to witness it. A delightful retreat close to Bowraville and Macksville, both just a 10-20 minute drive away. It's also conveniently located near top attractions on the Mid-North Coast like the Urunga Boardwalk, Valla Beach, and Rotary Lookout.
If you're in the mood for a scenic drive, you can explore the beauty of Nambucca Heads with its charming river estuary, visit Scotts Head for its gorgeous beaches and great surfing, and discover South West Rocks, famous for its historic Trial Bay Gaol.
It's a 139-square-foot tiny home with easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities (e.g., an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be a second tiny house, "Aurora Summit" that sits on the same property, approximately 100 meters apart. One is lower than the other one so the cabins cannot see each other but they are only a 2-minute walk away. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surroundings.
GUEST NOTICE < PLEASE READ > :
Please take note that this tiny house is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. We advise guests to conserve energy during the day and only use it when necessary. Overall, minimal consumption is advised to prevent power outages when using solar power.
As an added note, in times of heavy rainfall while the new roads firm up an AWD or 4WD vehicle may be required.
The Neighborhood:
Aurora Lookout by Tiny Away is located in the serene town of Yarranbella - North Coast NSW, with Bowraville and Macksville just a short 16-27 minute drive away. These nearby towns offer opportunities to explore local eateries, shops, and supermarkets.
The Nambucca and Coffs Coast region offers plenty of natural beauty and attractions. Main Beach in Nambucca is perfect for sand, surf, and enjoying the estuary, while nearby Muttonbird Island provides stunning views of the Solitary Islands and highlights the area’s Aboriginal cultural heritage. The Urunga Boardwalk stretches from the river to the sea, offering a peaceful walk with birdlife overhead. For something different, the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House lets visitors wander among hundreds of butterflies in a subtropical indoor rainforest.
Scenic lookouts and charming coastal towns enhance the experience. Rotary Lookout offers sweeping views over Twofold Bay and is an excellent spot for whale watching. To the north, Valla Beach is a small seaside community renowned for its camping, caravan stays, and family-friendly holidays. Inland, Bellingen is a charming base for exploring the scenic Waterfall Way, where dramatic waterfalls, rainforest walks, and river activities await.
Getting Around:

- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- No last-minute uninvited guests are allowed. You can bring your own tent for a stay $40 per person/ per night. Caravans are allowed at $100/per night. The charges are rental space rates without providing bedding. Please inform your host 24 hours in advance for a smooth check-in.
Important note:
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban. We will notify you by text of any fire alerts in the area during your stay and may instruct you to leave the property for your own safety.
