Our arrival started off a little rocky but everything worked out and we had a great stay. The door code didn’t work and had to stay on the phone with the rental company for about 20 minutes to get it fixed but all in all everything else was great.

Off beach stay
This is our second time staying in the same unit at the Wharf! I highly recommend it, ESPECIALLY if you have little ones who aren’t quite sure about the beach yet. The condo is nice with a good view of the boats, and I can not tell you how nice the convince is of jumping on the elevator and having all the food, shopping and daiquiris right there! Pool is very toddler friendly, which, again, is very important for this mom of an anti-beach 2 year old.
We loved The Wharf property in general. It was nice to just walk downstairs for drinks or food. It did get very loud the night of a concert. We would not stay in this particular unit again, though. It feels tired and old. The furniture is dated and extremely uncomfortable. There wasn’t a dresser, just a piece of furniture with wicker baskets, which put pulls in some of my clothes. The shower faucet didn’t work well. It wasn’t terrible and it was clean, it just wasn’t very nice. I will say the property managers are responsive, so that’s a positive. There was a huge concert one night of our stay. Our numbered spot had someone illegally parked in it when we returned from dinner. Because of the concert, there was NO other parking to be had anywhere on the property. I called the property management company and they suggested I reach out to security or the HOA. Um…how? I don’t know how to reach them! The property management company SHOULD have had the illegally parked car towed so we had our assigned space. Or at least offered to reach out to security or the HOA on our behalf since we had no way of knowing how to contact them. Although we would potentially stay at The Wharf again, we wouldn’t stay in this particular unit again.
Great location. The dryer makes a very loud squeak when it’s running and the toilet was hard
To flush sometimes. Just wanted someone to know , so they can take a look.
We stayed 3 nights (Thu-Sun) for 2 concerts at the Wharf. Great location for concert goers, a 2 minute walk to the amphitheater. Good central location, not fancy but adequate. There were no instructions for TV & channel guides, Dish TV, the connection was spotty and at first difficult to figure out, but once played around with it was fine, but instructions would have greatly helped. Shower drain was slow (pooling while showering), shower head was very basic not selectable sprays, and dark due to no overhead light in shower and non-opaque shower curtain. Very noisy late at night due to bars on street level blaring music into street, so if you plan on early bedtime, might be an issue for you. The Oasis pool was very nice and we enjoyed it both days, easy walk from condo, just under 1/2 mile. Great view of harbor and boats on intracoastal. Patio furniture was OK but could have been more comfortable (a table & 3 chairs). Overall good, great central location, but street noise detracted from overall stay.
Enjoyed the ease of check in. The parking decks make it very easy to unpack. Go to top level of parking deck for luggage carrasels. Only thing that could improve the property tremendously would be a fan on the balcony. (There are plugs so bring one if you enjoy sitting outside ). Loved being just a short walk away from all the things to do downstairs. Great for familys.
It was a great atmosphere to stay in. The property was clean and the owners let us check in a little earlier than planned. They were very easy to work with.
This is my second stay with this company. The condo was very clean and convenient to so many amenities. I had a problem with my door code, and customer service fixed that immediately. I highly recommend!!

Cleanliness was not the best. Not sure if floors were mopped before we arrived. Do not was nice things in washer and dryer provided! Ruined some of our items. Sitting in the living room is not comfortable.
Stayed for the Bama Coast Cruisin Show at the Wharf. Unit was located where you could here the bar noise at night, but usually quieted down by 10 or so. Would stay again, only issues we had were the main tv lacking a remote for channels and the toilet seat seemed broken. The property manager sent a message that they would be contacting us about issues, but never did. Great overall for the price though.
The bars/clubs stay open until 2 am. Very loud until closing. Didn’t sleep with all of the loud noise. The mattress in the master is very uncomfortable. The shower facet is falling apart and the sofa is dirty. Probably time for a new one.
Overall a good stay. Only real issues were parking. Supposed to have dedicated places but did not. Also we were there over new years and TV's did not work at all so had to go elsewhere to watch any football. Location and unit were good though.
The space suited out needs very well. Definitely could use a little face lift and updated fixtures (shower head barely sprayed) Very convenient to the concert venue but very poor insulation and could hear all the street noice. The balcony slider needs a little TLC- maybe wd40- as it was so heavy/jammed I could not open and my husband could.
There was no extra toilet paper in the unit. Only a partially filled roll when we arrived. There was no instructions on what needed to be done before we left the unit at the end of our stay. There was no information on the Lazy River use. The sliding door leading out to the balcony are damn near possible to open. Additionally the middle curtain rod support on the drapes over the sliding doors has been pulled out and is no longer supporting. In the living room the lamp on the right side of the couch has a missing knob so that it is impossible to turn on.
Our experience - Believe the negative comments pertaining to condo unit 506. Nothing has been fixed!
After arriving, we discovered that the door code previously given to us did not work (just like the other comments). We were happy that we could clear that up pretty fast with a new “unique-to-us” code.
The place was not cleaned well for us to stay for two weeks. This unit was not checked before we arrived. Some of the things that were very disappointing were the overall cleanliness of the place. We found food crumbs and hair all over the floor. The carpet needs to be replaced, having spots and stains all over. It’s really nasty. The bedroom tv was not working. The outside BBQ grill has not been cleaned for a very long time and would not be usable until it is. The outside patio table almost collapsed on us because the bolts holding the legs were the wrong size and had no nuts securing them. The gas stove/oven had not been used in a long time so we had to bleed the air from the gas lines to get it working. Table lamps were broken and the ceiling fans only work on high speed. We are “first timers” to this type of rental and were very disappointed that this condo had not been taken care of. This is not how we envisioned our vacation would be. It would have been nice if minimal cleaning supplies were available so that we would not have to purchase them and do what should have been done by the last occupant (as they paid a cleaning fee as we did upon departure).
The icing on the cake was when we arrived back to the condo, only to find that a pest control company had been in the unit while we were gone. Not a word was mentioned to us. Fortunately our electronics and jewelry were hidden. When we confronted Southern Vacation Rental we were told that they had no knowledge of it and it must have been requested by the condo HOA. Our door code was SUPPOSED to be new only for us. This was totally unacceptable!

Unit nice, but several management issues
We arrived at our unit at the checkin time of 4:00pm. The door code did not work. I called the management office. After holding for 15 minutes, I finally got someone to help. The person was very helpful and apologetic, but the code reset took another 10 minutes.
At 8:30 the next morning, we had a loud knock at our door. We had just woke up, after all we were on vacation. I cracked the door enough for the three people standing there to tell me that they were “here to fix the ceiling.” Of course I would not permit them to enter, as I was not notified by management that there was maintenance to be done during our stay.
Our first day at the pool didn’t start well. Our key fob did not work. I was told to contact the management company which I did and was told it would be recoded remotely, not to worry. However, for us to get into the pool that day, I had to go back and retrieve my proof of reservation and my ID. Same exact problem the next day at the pool, so the key fob was NOT recoded as I was told. SO frustrating!
The unit itself was clean, however, the balcony could use a good cleaning. The floor was very dirty.
Great location! Lots of great views. Condo was very nice plenty of space. It was great having the Wharf right there you didn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to everything you could need was right there.

Short Stay, Comfy beds, Gross floors! June 2020
First issue we had was the parking. The listing and directions we received said to park in the Blue Heron Parking lot. That is incorrect and after circling the parking lot a couple times then unpacking from a guest spot and making the hike to the condo we realize we should have parked in The Green Turtle parking lot.
Next we got to the door at 4:18 and entered the code sent to us, but it didn't work. We received and tried several more codes from the management team. The 4th one worked and we were finally in the room at 4:41.
The condo smelled of cleaner which gave us some peace of mind. However, due to the COVID situation my husband and I made a cleaning sweep to make sure all touchable areas were disinfected before the kids came in. Unfortunately, we didn't bring a mop and bucket to clean the floors. Walking from the living area to the bedroom made the bottom of our feet look like we'd been dancing at a bar barefooted all night. NASTY! I threw some clorox wipes on the kitchen floor and somewhat cleaned that area. Good luck if you have crawling children!
The bathtub was VERY SLIPPERY, be careful!
**Note the pool is a good walk away so everyone drives there. The workers at the gate were very nice and explained everything we needed to know for our stay at The Wharf.
The beds were comfy and the condo was quiet, considering all the action outside every night. The Wharf was crowded on Monday nights due to the fireworks show. The DJ was great and knew how to keep the crowd entertained. We loved all the live entertainment sprinkled around.
We chose The Wharf for the Marina and the entertainment and were quite pleased with everything except the floors.
Note to self, bring socks next trip :)
