About this property
Noctourism in 3 Bed Pt Lookout Bijou Cottage
Book the property for a last-minute break, winter escapes and all breaks.
Whale sitings from May to around October from nearby paths.
"Art and Craft on Stradbroke" with local artisans displaying their works. 25th to 27th October, 2025.
During the day it is time to see the migration of whales from the viewing deck less than 20 metres away.
During the night, experience the multiple noctourism activities.
Stradbroke Island is a small island, roughly as small as Bermuda, and located about 30 km from Brisbane. Arrive by vehicular ferry or water taxi and a bus. The island is mostly unspoiled and has beach escapism down to an art.
Have fun in the sun with activities like scuba diving or snorkelling to see turtles, manta rays and fish off Point Lookout.
Point Lookout has beautiful fine, white sand beaches where relaxing is the order for the day.
The cottage accommodates 4 people also offering privacy. On 1 level in the cottage are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, each with a queen – sized mattress. Under the cottage is a laundry - garage. There is a large front deck with an outdoor table and chairs.
There is a well-stocked kitchen that has an electric cook-top, oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
The cottage offers the privacy of:
+ a laundry with an automatic washing machine,
+ a “smart” TV that connects to your internet device,
+ USB charger,
+ iron/ironing board,
+ barbecue and outdoor dining furniture.
+ board games and more.

Sit and soak up the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from sun rise to sun set.
On a leisurely stroll experience the stunning view of one bay that forms "Frenchman’s Beach".
Be inspired and stroll to yet another bay that forms "Deadman’s Beach".
If inspired wander down to a patrolled beach and swim all year round. "Cylinder Beach" is patrolled by life savers, as is "Main Beach", they are always popular spots.

have a picnic,
hire a tennis court,
go dirt bike riding.

MY IDEAS FOR A RELAXED HOLIDAY
a) Book your house sitter and pet sitter well in advance.
b) If you don’t want to use a house sitter there are other security measures for an empty house. Ask your neighbour or a friend to keep an eye on your place.
c) Car hire – book a hire car early as it is likely to be cheaper. Compare companies. Or have your car serviced before leaving home. Check insurances. RACQ may be available on the island.
d) Book your return vehicular ferry trip to find a time to suit your timetable and budget.
e) I photograph all items I may need just in case things get lost or something needs renewing.
