Rustic and quaint with potential
Kathy the host was lovely to chat to and gave permission for us to have our medium dog and it not be an issue. The property advertised did not indicate $USD and was considerably more expensive when payment went through. Vrbo did not get back to us when they were unable to rectify the situation however Kathy quickly resolved the payment issue, though at times was a little slow at responding to messages.
The fire lit prior to our arrival was a lovely touch, plenty of firewood provided. Lovely big bedrooms, loads of blankets, heaters in the bedrooms, electric blankets were welcome though some did not work or were broken. The mattress we slept on was comfy but a mattress topper would have been a lovely extra to eliminate sleeping on the electric blanket coils. The kitchen was large and functional but the large gas stove and oven did not work. The dining room had no heating though was beautifully laid out and equipped, and would have been lovely to use. The living room was spacious, comfy lounges and chairs, rugs, piano. Unfortunately none of the TV's in the accommodation
worked. The outside pergola had beautiful fairy lights that shone into the living room at night, and a large seated area. If it had stayed sunny, this would have been a nice area to sit in, but you couldn't access the BBQ or pizza oven. Outside was very untidy. The garden is not enclosed for your dog. Overall loads of potential, finer details would resolve this.
