About this property

Beach Front Family Vacation on Makaha Beach. A secluded, relaxing beach in Oahu.

What you will find. A 30-day rental that is less crowded, a little unexpected, and truly delightful. The vibe here is RETRO and CHILL. Friends and Family fun await you. Please message us for details as we do not use the VRBO calendar.

Located in Makaha Valley Resort District, perfect for 5 to 8 guests. Walk out the gate directly onto Makaha Surfing Beach. We have 2 Bungalows on our property. Each bungalow is... 700 square feet with 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and umbrellas, are all available in the cabana. Snorkel with the sea turtles right off the beach. Do a little Whale Watching from the front yard….migrating season is late December through March, or just enjoy a good book while swinging in the hammock. Sunsets you ask.....absolutely!

Makaha Beach is truly the hidden jewel of Oahu. You are only 35 miles northwest of Honolulu airport away from all of the crowds. Makaha Beach is famous for surfing dating back to the '50s but there is also great snorkeling and just plain lying on the beach in the sun.

If you are looking for a great location with a beautiful secluded beach this place is for you. Our Bungalows come with a large front yard, which overlooks the ocean, along with the beach equipment found in the cabana to help you enjoy your stay. If you like to play golf, Makaha Valley Resort has 1 golf course with spectacular views.

Barbeque on the front lawn and eat under our 100+-year-old Hau tree. It's the perfect place to enjoy those beautiful Hawaiian sunsets and a great family meal. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards are located in the cabana. A washer and dryer are located outside each bungalow and a separate parking space for each bungalow is inside our gated yard.

This is really "local" Hawaii. The Makaha Country Club for golf and they now have the restaurant open. Great deep-sea fishing out of the Waianae Harbor and the freshest Ahi Tuna on the island can be found at our local grocery store. Lots of farming nearby which means lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. The farmers market is open on Saturday mornings. There are no bars or restaurants in our immediate neighborhood which makes this the perfect spot for a zero-proof vacation. There are restaurants within 3 miles, Coquitos Latin Cuisine and Kahumana Organic Farm and Cafe. The Beach House by 406 is a nice restaurant and has a nice bar. In Ko'Olina, (20 minutes) Roys, Monkey Pod, Island Vintage Coffee, and more. In Kapolei, (30 minutes) Chilis, Cheesecake Factory, and many more restaurants.

You will have a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time here at The Bungalows. We look forward to meeting you and sharing this little piece of paradise with you.

We do not use the VRBO calendar. So please reach out to us to see if your dates are available. Sorry, no weddings or large parties are permitted.

Makaha is our favorite place in the whole world and we have traveled to many, many places. Until we are able to retire to our lovely beach, we hope that others can enjoy our wonderful community and lifestyle here on Westside Oahu

Why they chose this property

Beautiful trade wind breezes throughout the day. Mostly dry with occasional rain showers. The best sunsets! A quiet relaxing large beach where you will see some of the locals teaching their kids how to swim and surf.

What makes this property unique

One of the most quiet, relaxing, clean beaches in all of Oahu. Lots of ocean life to enjoy; you can swim with sea turtles and tropical fish, watch the whales as they breach the water during migrating season, and snorkel the coral reef.
