The condo itself was amazing. The overall furniture and decor is very dated. The chandelier seems a little dangerous. The seating was very uncomfortable. The view was the star of the show. But the lack of extra towels and warmer bedding was a huge disappointment. It would be so easy and inexpensive to provide a few extra items for the comfort and convenience of your guests. And the 9:00 departure time is unreasonable. The condo was ... fine ... but these little details add up to a sub-par experience for my family.

Spring Break in Pensacola

Upon arrival we were blown away by the gorgeous views from every window! The place was perfect for our group and we loved the close proximity to the pool and beach which were just an elevator ride and a short walk away. Communication before and during stay was clear and prompt which was greatly appreciated, including a last minute request for early check in. Would definitely stay here again!

A great place for family

Besides the not so great weather we very much enjoyed the place. Not too fancy so great for a lot of kids. Only complaint I would have is the tedious trip to beach if you have a lot of stuff (wagon) since it requires 2 elevator rides and maneuvering through crowded pool. All in great I would recommend it for a family not looking for a fancy condo.

The condo was wonderful and the location was great! The owner of the condo should consider replacing the entrance door. My daughters did say the mattresses in the smaller bedrooms were uncomfortable. Overall, our stay was wonderful!

Condo was beautiful except the slats under master bed were on the floor and fell once while sitting on corner. Was broken when i walked in.The jacuzzi was NOT OPERATIONAL. My wife has stage 4 metastatic breast xancer in the brain with 5 tumors.... the only 2 things she wanted was an awesome veiw close to the ocean and a jacuzzi tub bath. 1 outta 2 isnt ok for the money i spent.Condo had every conceivable item we could ask for. Room code didnt wotk. We got a hoysekeepers code and worked fine.

Great service from the Southern team. The condo was a little worn but clean. Biggest issue is a very heavy and battered French entry doors. Could have used a few more towel sets for a 4 bedroom.

Great property

Beach Club never disappoints! Huge gym, heated indoor and outdoor pools, complimentary beach chairs and you can easily walk to restaurants. The unit itself has everything you need in the kitchen, but the decor could use some updating to feel more beachy. The master bed has a foam topper that for us made the bed too soft. Management removed it and revealed a very firm mattress. Management was very responsive.

The condo is beautiful! Everything was almost excellent except a few issues with the bedroom nearest the entry. There were no electric outlets near the bed for charging devices. A chair for sitting would be nice. The lamp on the dresser did not have a switch and I could not find how to turn on the lights in the headboard. So I had no bedside lighting. We were there at a VERY cold time and that room stayed uncomfortably cold all the time. I could not find an extra blanket and had to sleep with my socks and coat on.

Great location

This property had the perfect number of bedrooms/beds for our party of 9. The location on the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants is a huge plus. The condo had a great ice maker that was a bonus. One of the beds broke after a couple days and when maintenance came out they saw it was being held up with a paint can so it was broken prior to our arrival. The jets in the primary tub were not working and a sign was posted so it, too, was not working prior to our arrival. Painters were on/off the balcony for 4 days and they moved all the furniture and hurricane shades so only a very small portion of the balcony was useable. We never received garage remotes for parking. The pros outnumbered the cons and I would stay here again.

well stocked with pans with good views and access to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and everything went good. One sink drain in the master bedroom was stuck closed so we couldn't use that sink and the master bathtub had no water pressure so it could not be used. It only had one key fob for the gate and elevator access and when we called it took 2 days for them to bring another one. Really not to bad of problems that should be easily fixed. We stayed in Beach Club before but renting with other agency, unfortunally this time they didn’t have anything available for our days, we found Southern Vacations Rentals and it was a really bad experience, the beds are really uncomfortable, there was even chewing gum in our sheets, the bedspread in the master bed was ripped, there was hair from the shower drain in our toilette, the kitchen cabinets were really dirty, the sofa in the livingroom looks like broken, we didn’t even have coffee for our welcome, I think the owner of this condo needs to put a little bit more work in it to make it comfortable for the customers, for us, we never rent with Souther Vacations again, sorry! We are not picky people but when you spend a considerable amount of money for your stay, you expected a good service, its that “you get what you pay” not in this case, we pay a lot for something really cheap!!

Great location and building....so-so property

The building and amenities are great. The location is fabulous. The management company is very responsive. We encountered a small issue with the WIFI and received an almost instantaneous solution. The property is very secure. We had no issues with parking. Everyone we encountered was very, very nice. The property though, feels "used". The living room furniture is rundown. There are two sofa beds in the living room but we couldn't figure out how you could use them, given the space. and close arrangement of the furniture. The sheets were all "pilled". (The towels seemed new though). The master bed had a definite sag to the middle. The kitchen appliances were all in very good shape, but the cooking tools were severely limited (one mixing bowl??). The grill was barely functional (couldn't get it over about 325), and didn't appear to have ever been cleaned. The location of the condo door is kind of a problem - maybe not in summer. The unit is in a corner, which gives the condo the killer views. The door is at the end of the exterior hall. The hall became kind of a wind tunnel. The wind whistled through the door day and night. It created a suction on the door. Sometimes, when you opened the patio door, things would go flying off counters because of the wind being sucked through the gaps in the front door. The door is kind of warped and doesn't open all the way, so you have to use the double door to get the luggage cart in and out. Heed the advice to bring EVERYTHING. I have never had so little provided for "starter" stock, and I've been renting beach condos for 20 years. It is unfortunate. A small investment in repair and stocking would make a 100% difference in the perceived value of the property. I would def stay in this building again, and with this management company, but not in this unit

Unit needs an upgrade

Where do I begin? We called and asked if we could check in 30 min early and were told no because the unit was still being cleaned. Okay, I understand that. When we enter the unit it became clear that there version of cleaning was just dropping off new towels. The previous tenants dirty towels were left in bathrooms, the linens on the beds had not been changed. Our cover had coffee stains on it, our pillows had blood on them(yes blood, the new cleaning people threw them away and gave all new pillows) my daughter’s pillow had someone’s ear wax, my in laws bed was filled with sand. The floor had not been swept or mopped, crumbs and again coffee stains. The jets in the jacuzzi tub do not work. That would have been great to know during booking. We were told the property owner knows about this and have chosen not to fix it. The grill shocked my brother in law when trying to use it. I will say, I called Southern Vacation the property managers and they did send people in to actually clean. They also sent a repair guy out to fix the grill to stop shocking people while in use. You can tell the owners of this unit do not use this or care about updating it. The mattress are all so old that you can feel and see the springs coming through. The two sofa sleepers, do not count those as beds to possibly sleep in, the mattresses are stained, dirty and very used. The extra bedding in the closets are not laundered by the cleaning service, so unless you clean them before you use, they are dirty and smell horrible. The water filter in the fridge has probably never been changed out because the water taste like fish, do not drink it. The AC unit sounds like a helicopter so I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before that goes out. There are small damages throughout the unit with holes and damaged door locks that could easily be fixed but have not. The view is great and we enjoyed our vacation but for what we paid for this unit, absolutely disappointed. During a time when people are getting back out and Covid is still a concern, the lack of cleanliness was appalling!

Enjoyable stay, with caveats

First, the rental is a prime location, walkable to everything in Pensacola Beach. We rarely drove anywhere. Second, it is a secure building which is more than nice. Third, the condo was exactly as advertised. Large master bath almost the size of the master bedroom. Open floor plan, and plenty of room in the other bedrooms. And two balconies, one private. We can view sunrises and sunsets from these balconies. Fourth, the property company was pleasant to talk to. The caveats: Southern Resorts Customer service was 5-star nice, but 2-star helpful. I've pointed this out to Southern and they explained that they are still ramping back up headcount after the pandemic. The reps I dealt with struggled to provide helpful information (for example, I was literally told to check every drawer, cabinet and console for parking passes that were supposed to be on the kitchen counter - never found them). We had an issue with the master toilet - it overflowed one night. If I followed the property manager's instructions we would have spent the night with water and feces all over the bathroom floor and it would not have been fixed or cleaned up until 2pm the next day. As I understand it, the after hours plumber was over-deployed. Since I don't follow instructions, I took care of the clean up myself until the plumber arrived. Again, the property manager was very pleasant, just not helpful. The building is secure but could use some work. For example, everyone uses the same code to get into the building. As far as I know there's no guard on duty so anyone could let someone piggyback onto the premises, which happens a lot. I've made these points known to the property manager already. And they responded promptly and attentively. So - yes I would use them again.

This condo was spacious with fabulous views!

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The condo was clean, spacious, and well appointed. We really made use of the huge wrap around balcony; appreciate that there's a grill, and had dinner outside almost every evening.

The condo is not worth it and the Beach Club is not Kids Friendly

Nothing worked in the condo on the first day the front door Code did not work we were only given two keys for a 4 bedroom condo that sleeps 11 everything with codes very inconvenient to access anything two bedrooms offered full size (double) not queen beds as stated on the website one of the sleeper sofas once opened was not clean did not have linen for the sleeper sofa had to ask for it the oven did not work even after they fixed it the dryer did not work 3 hrs for a load to dry the vacuum cleaner did not work very few coffee mugs most of the plates were chipped Kids had limited access to the indoor pool even with bad weather outside with no toys allowed and must be accompanied by an adult even 13 yrs old no service and or restaurant near the pool area as shown on Beach Club website Last and not least the Southern Rental Property Managment won't allow an hour late check out to help an 88 year old man more time to get ready although the unit was available and no other reservation on the Day of check out.

Hello George, Thank you for providing feedback in regards to your recent stay with us. We want to first apologize for any inconveniences experienced during your stay with us. We strive to provide our guest with a Sweet Southern experience and hate to hear your experience wasn’t flawless. We show that several of your mentioned concerns were addressed by our staff in a timely manner, several things including the issue with the dinner ware were not reported to us, and several other issues such as pool hours etc are something the Home Owners Association for the beach club are responsible for. We are happy to address and and all concerns, should they arise, in a timely manner when given the opportunity. Larger units such as this four bedroom condo are not eligible for late departures due to the time involved in cleaning, but we do show that a complimentary late departure was offered to your party which you accepted allowing you to depart several hours later in an attempt to accommodate you and your family. We appreciate your comments and concerns and thank you for the opportunity to improve on our quality of services. We hope to see you back on the coast again soon. ~ The Southern Team
