This adorable and intimate cottage has been newly renovated from top to bottom and has a whole lot of love put into its build and decor. Live edge countertops, log cabin interior, natural stone features in the bathroom (with rain down shower head) and serene colour scheme make this a rustic yet comfortable and cozy place to cuddle up with a great book or cook a beautiful meal with our brand new appliances. Step onto the brand new two level deck through 16 foot glass sliding doors to enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the beautiful and quiet Ottawa River. After crossing a lush green space off the deck, your privet beach is waiting for you to lay out and relax or jump on a paddle board and explore the river.
Have a bonfire on the beach under the stars after a long day enjoying the use of our canoe, paddle boards and kayaks.
We have a filtration system which makes our tap water safe to drink!! A rare find in this area!

Check in was easy, the place was quaint and tidy. The kitchen was VERY well stocked with everything you might need and we really enjoyed the use of all the water equipment. The outside space was great and communication with the owner was easy. Great for a family of 6 or 2-4 adults.
My husband, two boys and I had a wonderful stay – gradual and sandy beach with lots of toys! It's picturesque and the sunsets are gorgeous. Thanks Gina!
This was our second stay, and we really enjoyed it both times. The cottage was clean, and we love the remote area. We have been staying in the area for decades, so we know it well. The beach is great for the kids, but since the sand comes all the way up to the cottage, be prepared to sweep often! Communication with the host is great, she's very responsive and helpful. Thanks for another great stay Gina!
We loved our stay at the cottage! It's so well-stocked with anything you could possibly need during your stay. On a lovely quiet bay with friendly neighbours. Hope to visit again soon!
We had a great time at the cottage. The beach and gradual/sandy entrance into the river was appreciated, and we enjoyed the water toys. Lots of space for indoor and outdoor relaxing and great communication/very responsive hosts.
This cottage is great! Splendid views of the river. The kids loved all the sand. Swimming, fishing and using the kayaks and paddle boards was really fun. Friendly people (and dogs) all around.Everything you need is there to enjoy. We really liked it!
Nice spot facing west on the river provides great sunsets. The host was very pleasant as was the one neighbour we met. Max the dog also likes to visit.
Hope to stay again sometime.
Property was excellent. Perfect for our family with 3 kids. They loved the experience, paddle boards, canoe and kayaks which were fanastic. Beautiful place and everything was as described. The only downside is we thought the grass area was a bit larger and more usable, it is pretty rocky so we didn’t end up using our badminton net we brought. We also couldn’t find firewood locally anywhere but fortunately there was some that we could use for cooking s’mores. It was quite warm so fires weren’t too important. The lily pad was a blast the kids played on that. There was an anchor to attach it to so it wouldn’t float away. The kitchen has a toaster, keureg coffee machine. There are games inside for a rainy day which are great. Lifejackets are good sizes for kids as well as adults. Bbq is also in really good shape and is a nice unit. Our Kids rated it a 10/10 which is a huge compliment.
Amazing. This was my childhood family cottage. It’s awesome to see the new owners taking such great care of the place.

About the host
Hosted by Gina
My husband, Jonathan and I have been together for 10 years, have two huge dogs and two beautiful daughters, 4 years and 7 months old. Our life is crazy busy with work and family but we love it very much. We were hosts pre-Covid renting a 1 bedroom apartment and a small house in the Niagara region. We loved meeting people from all over the world and found pride in providing cozy and convenient amenities in a space people felt safe and comfortable.
Why they chose this property
I’ve never seen such amazing sunsets in my life. We drove up to see this cottage when it was for sale and the previous owners let us stay the night. Regardless of how dated and in much need of love this cottage was, the views, beach, night sky, silence and sunset sold us completely. We couldn’t live without having this cottage to retreat to from our hectic lives. Our 4 year old asks us why it takes so long to get to the cottage. My answer is “it takes a long time to get to such a magical place” We want to share this with you!
