About this space
Just 20 minutes North of Huntsville. Great zero entry beach and space for families. Gas station Convenience store 5 min drive. Great fishing and lots of Lake to explore. Paddle Board, Peddle boat, Canoe, Some life jackets, Boat house with Electricity to store your own small fishing boat. Walleye, bass, perch and Pike Quieter area of a very large lake.
Nice outdoor fire pit. Towels and bedding can be arranged for extra charges.

Please bring your own firewood for out door Fire pit. Fire wood provided for indoor fireplace. Gas BAR B Q available.

Other things to note
Extra fees will be held on credit card and refunded as long as cottage is clean after your stay. There is a goose fence that needs to be put back in place after your stay so the lawn stays clean for the next guests.

Pleasant stay (but not perfect)

Greatly appointed cottage situated on beautiful grounds! We had a very nice experience until the last night when we were left without running water. We contacted the host and were told that property manger will come in the morning to fix the problem. We left the cottage (checked out) around 10 and he still was not there. We understand things can get broken (the pump), but instead of offering some sort of help/assistance, we were told to carry water from the lake to use for the toilets and to boil it to wash the dishes. My husband carried water for the toilets in a container because we couldn't ind any buckets and hurt his back (he is still going to the chiropractor). We used our own bottled water to clean dishes, because the host's suggestion was unsanitary, to say the least... We paid for full service (including running water) and we did not get it for the full period of time. And again, more importantly, there was no attempt to compensate for it, maybe have the property manager bring some jugs of water over, etc... Also, be aware that there is no hot tub on the property, even though it is advertised in the posting. Too bad that a vacation that started so well, ended up like this.

Cottages are often on wells Wells have pumps and the last Night I received a message at about 11 pm from Daniela she had no water. My maintenance man got there as soon as he could the next morning to address the problem. unfortunately Daniela and crew left around 10 am He informed me the pump was shot. It was replaced that day by early evening. Daniela said it was gross in the bathrooms so I suggested they could get water from the lake to flush the toilets. I have had to do this myself as a long time cottage owner. I also suggested there was water in jugs under the credenza that she could boil to do dishes etc Sprucedale is about a 5 minute drive and has clean drinking water you can refill if the large bottles under the credenza are empty. I’m sorry her stay was not perfect. I tried my best in the little time that was left in her stay to rectify it for her. The new pump has been working fine since it was replaced.
