About this property

The Silo House Inverloch

The Silo House Inverloch is a unique and spectacular space just north of the township of Inverloch. Featuring four queen bedrooms each with their own ensuite, two bedrooms are housed within converted Grain Silos with two further bedrooms within the "Milking Shed". What looks like converted milking sheds and wheat silos, is a warm inviting entertaining space that is filled with charm.

Within the enormous living space is a well equipped industrial-style kitchen with large dining table and comfortable sitting area complete with an enclosed wood heater. Natural light streams in from the large windows and glass doors leading out to the outdoor deck and barbeque area where you can take in the uninterrupted views of the beautiful South Gippsland dairy country.

The hidden gem is the underground "speak easy" style lounge area, ideal for a quiet escape from your group or a round of poker after dinner. This holiday escape gives you more than just a warm cozy bed, it gives you a complete experience. The Silo House Inverloch offers the perfect base for groups of friends to enjoy time together, lazy lunches and explore what the region has to offer.

At an hour and 45 minutes from central Melbourne, Inverloch is the perfect location for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of city living. With a stunning surf beach as well as a more child-friendly inlet beach it caters to everyone from experienced surfers to toddlers experiencing the beach for the first time. About the host

Featured on Grand Designs Australia May 2022 (Season 10. Ep 2), this unique property is built on dairy country using converted grain silos to house bedrooms each with private ensuite and in a celebration of its dairy roots the design is influenced by the milking shed, including the use of repurposed cattle rails for the balustrade. This is a new build completed in June 2020 that effortlessly blends farmhouse old (the bricks were salvaged from a 100-year-old dairy in Sale) with exposed new industrial materials including oversized steel beams and raw concrete.
The Silo House is the perfect spot for a long weekend, ensconced with a good book, a great bottle of red and even better company.
