Modern Conveniences in Rustic Mountain Setting

This cottage was perfect for us! Cozy, remodeled cottage with great amenities. We didn’t cook there but appreciated the Keurig machine for coffee. Great shower in the bath. The queen bed was uncomfortable for us but we find that to be the case pretty much everywhere. The owner was great in communicating with us before we arrived and responsive to any questions or requests thereafter. Really great place!

Nice place for a getaway.

The house was in pristine condition. It looked like it was just built and we were the first ones to stay in it. Located not far from stores and restaurants. The owner, (Ron,)was very responsive to any questions we had. We highly recomend this location.

This cottage was just as the pics show. Great communication with host prior to visit as well as a "Thank you" This is the perfect spot to relax & recharge from stress. The cottage wraps you in warmth, and charm.

Everything was great except...

...except the thermostat was set at 75 and locked behind a plastic shield box. Frankly, I sleep with the temperature set in the mid-60s. Neither myself or my friend got good sleep so we left after one night (reservation was for two). If you sleep normally at 75 degrees this place was great - cute, well equipped, etc.

From the owner:-This is my only vacation rental, and I am continuously learning how to improve based on each stay. It is disheartening that a guest would have a problem but not give me a chance to correct it. I received no communication from you during your stay.-The thermostat settings are clearly stated in the Welcome Book: "The heat is set at 70 degrees when it’s cold outside and 75 degrees for A/C when it’s warm outside. Feel free to contact me if you prefer any changes." My cell phone number and email are also included in this book.-The thermostat can be controlled remotely, and yes, it is behind a lockbox due to past issues where the thermostat was misused, leading to significant heating costs.-I am disappointed you did not give me a chance to fix your issue, as it would have been resolved immediately at any hour.I hope to welcome you back and provide you with a 5 star experience I am known for!
