Melissa’s house is in an excellent location in downtown newnan. There is a lot of character in the home and some lovely spaces to relax. We only had 3 people with us but the house could comfortably host a large group of friends or family with the multiple living spaces and large front porch and dining room. If you’re looking for a charming home central to town, Melissa’s home is a great choice!
My friends and I stay at this house whenever we have a gathering in Newnan and we absolutely love it. So close to downtown and Melissa is simply the best host!
We stayed at this beautiful property when we were in town for a wedding. The location is great and walkable to the adorable downtown/historic area. We LOVED the wrap around porch and spent much of our time there. Melissa was great and very responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this charming home for your future stay in Newnan!

Thank you so much! it is a very special home indeed.
The bride and bridesmaids stayed here for my daughter’s wedding. It proved to be the perfect place for not only housing them but for photos of the bridal party. The vintage backdrop was magical.
Walking distance to downtown. Very responsive Host. The home has architectural history. Ample parking and room. We were in town for a family wedding. Will come back.
Great walkable location with huge bedrooms. This historic house really shows off its original craftsmanship. This was an awesome location to share with my daughters, mom, and sister.
Everyone loved hanging on the porch for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the afternoons.
Location in quaint downtown Newnan was easily walkable to restaurants & shops. Beautiful neighborhood which was mostly quiet but house is at a busy intersection with traffic. Didn't bother our family of 7 as we hung out on the back patio or in one of the many sitting rooms. Hosts provided everything needed for a perfect stay. We would gladly rent again.
Great space, nice front porch and back patio. There was small issue with air conditioning and heat. Owner helped with both. Would definitely rent thru owner, but not vrbo.
Such a unique property. Loved the proximity to downtown (we walked everywhere). We thoroughly enjoyed the front porch and each sitting room at different times. We had cool weather while there so we appreciated the extra throw blankets throughout the house, it made it that much more cozy (seems like a small detail but it's rare in a rental and we loved it). Host was communicative and quick to response. Certainly recommend, especially for a larger group.

Fantastic space in a fun town!
The Front Porch was home away from home for a couple of days while we prepared for my sister's wedding in Palmetto. The home is fabulous! Spacious and airy, there is room for entertaining and for taking a moment to yourself. The back garden is quaint and beautiful. The home was neat, clean, and excellently appointed with plenty of linens and spaces to sleep or sit. The kitchen is great for cooking, too. Downtown is a short walk away, which is a major plus!
The owner is incredibly gracious and accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

I look forward to your next visit. Hope its soon! since it has been 2 years.
I wanted close to the wedding venue.
Venue with about 1/2 mile in the Historic District of Newnan. We had eight adults. Found this was perfect as the house was so roomy, plenty of bathrooms, comfy beds and the best front porch for sitting with historic furnishing though out. Within walking distance of restaurants with breakfast delivery. Major stores and groceries are nearby. Host was so attentive to any concerns. I would book this house again!!

Wonderful Historic Home! Very close to Historic Downtown Newnan! Lots of parking, lots of beds. Lots of places to sit down and relax! Home is located on one of the busiest street corners that lead to historic downtown, which makes sitting on the front porch a little difficult due to all the traffic noise however the back patio / yard is really nice and quieter. Home is well stocked with all types of necessities.
Master bathroom has a very small shower but does have a separate bathtub. Master closet is large and has plenty of room to hang clothes but during our visit the closet was in disarray with Christmas decorations, the bottom of a trundle bed along with a couple of footstool/ storage chest. The dresser in the master bed room was full of linens so we had to leave most of our clothes in our suitcases. There was a dresser in the Master closet but due to the lack of organization we could not access it.
The Kitchen was small but decorated nicely and well stocked with all types of kitchen wear. The cabinets were in need of a good cleaning on the outside, as they were dirty. Home got quite warm and stuffy, at times. The bedrooms all had ceiling fans, but air flow would have been better if the windows in the home were operative.
3.5 to 4 Star Home, would have given 5 Stars but the items above and the home needing some extra TLC throughout kept us from giving that.
Our visit to Newnan was great! We were all able to sleep in one house. The beds upstairs were super comfortable. The bed in the primary bedroom had a pretty hard mattress but the sheets were soft. It was also hard to get the primary bedroom cool quickly. The bathrooms were adequate, but hard with 8 people and only two showers. The manager of the property was always very responsive and helpful.
This house is just a few blocks from downtown Newnan on a large and attractive lot with parking away from the street. It is very spacious with many areas to relax both inside and out, with multiple living areas, a sun room and comfy places on the large front porch and in the lovely backyard. It was just what we were looking for, and we would definitely stay there again!
I am originally from Newnan and although I have been in California for the past 17 years Newnan will always be "Home". I decided last year it was time to get back to my "Roots" and purchased a home in the Downtown Historic section of Newnan.
Why they chose this property
When visiting my grandfather who was failing at the age of 97, I decided to begin looking for a second home to allow me to come back more often. I fell back in Love with Newnan and the home was in a distressed situation. As soon as I saw the magical Front Porch I knew this home had to be mine to bring back to life. I quickly called my realtor, and as soon as I walked in I knew I was "home". The house had been vacant, but I could feel the history as I walked through. I decided The Front Porch needed to be lived in and enjoyed once again.
What makes this property unique
The uniqueness of The Front Porch is simply where it is located in the historic College Temple district and the magical warmth over 100 years of existed has created. The history alone is extremely unique in itself. The 200 foot long front porch is such a wonderful space for gathering and connecting with family and friends.
